Detail About IIT(ISM) Dhanbad.

I'm pursuing B.Tech in Electronics engineering and communication from IIT (ISM) Dhanbad, I got admission in college through JEE exam and I didn't apply to any other college. And as we all know admission procedure to get into an IIT is to clear JEE advance and participate in Jossa counseling. And for JEE exam you must have a minimum of 75% marks in the 12th standard along with 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Maths individually.

I chose this course because I like electronics devices. As nowadays there are many electronic devices around us as our mobile, laptops, television, etc. I want to learn how such a small thing works as they are adding so much value to our life. Faculty:- Faculty members in our college are good. Every teacher is ready to solve your queries. They all are well-qualified and knowledgeable. They all give you a positive response. And as now due to covid, all the things are online but all faculty members are cooperative and help us. They all are highly qualified and experienced.

Students get internships under SRIP( Sum Research Internship Programme ). Under this, students who work under " Funding for SRIF" only at IIT ISM Dhanbad received a stipend of Rs. 10,000/- for 8 weeks. Total no. Of SRIF interns per department is two out of which one will we Non-IIT(ISM) student.

As with others IITs, placement in IIT ISM DHANBAD is also good. Good companies visit our college every year such as Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Adobe, Goldman Sachs and many more. The highest CTC offered this year is INR. 48.38 LPA.

Fees are above average it is around 2.28 lakhs per year. I didn't get any scholarship but a fee waiver is available for students whose annual family income is less than 5 lakhs. In fees waiver students having annual family income less than 1 lakhs got 100% fees waiver and students having annual family income between1 lakhs to 5 lakhs get 67% fees waiver. And Merit cum means scholarship is also available for students having annual family income less than 6 lakhs.

There are many types of clubs and societies run by students for students. Some of the clubs are Mailer Daemon club, We the Crew (It is street dance club of IIT ISM DHANBAD), Legends in The Making (It is official stage dance club of IIT ISM DHANBAD), RoboISM (It is the robotics and AI club), Abhay Dramatic Club, Kartavya ( This club working for the education of poor and underprivileged children living in village and slums), Toastmaster (It is debate club of our college)and many more are there.

As of now due go covid we are at home and never visited our hostel as of now but according to our senior's hostels are decent and decent space in the room and the meal quality is also decent but the menu is good. As of now, I registered my hostel online easily.
