The admission process was fully online due to corona. It was pretty hassle-free. We sent all the documents for admission through email. Physical registration is still awaited. I also applied for Calcutta University, IT, but after getting IIT ISM in Jossa counseling, I opted out of CU.

Haven't studied Mining Machinery yet, because 1st year is common for all. In online mode, there is one faculty for 250 students in each section, but in offline, there is one faculty for around 120 students. Most faculties are Ph.D. There are quizzes in each subject every other week and after the end of 4 such quizzes in each subject, end semester exams are held.

Students start getting internships and stipends in 2nd year. But most students get internships in 3rd year. So many companies come to campus for internships, students also apply for internships off-campus as well.

From the 2nd year, students start getting stipend internships. PPOs are also provided to some meritorious students. Around 60 companies visit each year, and placement is around 60% altogether. Generally, CSE students get the highest packages. This year it was around 46 lakhs per annum. I plan to get a job in the core after my degree completion. Also, there's scope for placement only if you are somewhat into coding. Otherwise, students get great offers off-campus as well.

Fees are 99000 per semester but with additional charges, it reaches up to around 107000 per semester. there are many scholarship schemes like Fee Waiver and MCM and others for economically weak students.

There are 5 fests in a year, but in online mode, only 1 cultural fest but one or other coding fest happens once or twice a month. The college organizes many online seminars on AI/ML/resume building/time management and so many other things. I am a part of the media club of college (name: anonymous), it is fun to work for a club, we a get a peer group. We're missing out on a lot of things online, but hopefully, this pandemic averts and we get to live campus life to the fullest.

Hostel rooms for 1st year are small. But from the second year, we get a much larger room for 2 people in each room. Hostel mess also provides wholesome meals, and there are canteens in each hostel. Hostel charges are 13000 per semester and mess charges are 12000 per semester. Can't tell about the experience as we didn't get to go to college yet.
