Remarks
The cutoff for BCom Honours in this college was 95%. I got exactly 95%. However, I expected that my name would come in more good colleges on the north campus. So on a safe sight, I reserved my seat in this college and waited for more cutoffs to come. I was expecting DCAC and CVS but I didn't get admission because of only 1 mark. My name though came in a number of colleges but they were not good as I was expecting. So I considered this college only and paid fees for the whole year and after that, I got the mail that my admission is successful. I did not avail any quota as I am a general student.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because this was an ideal course for me. I could pursue other long term courses like CA/CMA side by side with BCom Honours. In my class, there are a total of 40-45 students and an approximately 50% gender ratio. Teachers are good, some are ok. But they do take pain in teaching like taking extra classes and time to time surprise tests. Exams were OBE which was quite ok for me.
Internships Opportunities
There are a number of societies in this college such as commerce society, arts and science societies that offer a number of internships. But I seriously don't know much about them, all I know is the messages that come in the WhatsApp group about various internships.
Placement Experience
Since my course is of 3 years after the 3rd year students become eligible for campus placements. I currently don't know which companies visited because we have no contacts with our seniours. The average package as I had seen when I was comparing my college with other colleges was 2.50 lakhs per annum, while the highest package was 18.50 lakhs. My plan after getting a degree is to still pursue long term course because they take time for upto 5 years so I'll probably be studying only after getting a degree.
Fees and Financial Aid
My course is for 3 years and my per year fees are 7500 which makes 22500 for 3 years which is very affordable. The placement cell of my college offers a number of scholarships and internships. It also provides free webinars on various financial topics.
Campus Life
Due to covid, whole Delhi University is closed. So I don't know much about this college. However I once visited the college and saw it from inside, the campus was neither big nor small. There were a number of gardens surrounding the buildings The library was also large and spacious with an air conditioner. The sports ground was also ok.
