NIT ROURKELA

I took admission via JEE MAIN rank and based on 12th CBSE board Percentage. I got selected for nit Rourkela as I was having 81%in 12th CBSE board, AIR of JEE MAIN was 89000 and sc category rank was 3000. We had 7 rounds for college selection. The admission process is easy. We have to visit the college for admission with all documents needed along with our fee receipt or admission fee check.

Terms exams are good as they teach us 4 months per semester and we will have mid sem and end sem exams All of them will be based on whatever they have taught us in regular lectures. Student ratio is about 800-100 as we will more students in the first year in each section but as we get into second and third we study with our batchmates but faculties are very good so it becomes easy to even excellent marks in term exams if we study regularly. They also provide the assignment for each lesson they taught.

We get practical knowledge throughout the program because we have 2 to3 labs in each semester so it increases our practical knowledge about instruments or chemicals or machines. We can do our own projects under any professor may be in the regular semester or in summer vacation as we wish. We have a compulsory project task in the 3rd year which is a lab but we have to do the final year project as part of the programs it helps to make our CV more influential and it also helps to get placements or campus internship.

Placements start after 6th semester There are many companies which provide on campus internship even more than that comes in placement season So more than 90% students get placed in NITR if we want to do. And others don't do it may be because of their higher education. I plan to do my job after I get placed.

There is no tuition fee for SC/ST. But others have to full fee. We have 31000 fees including all stuff like library hostel mess and others. Yes, I got an ONGC SCHOLARSHIP of 48000 in the first year. We also get nsp scholarship if we complete the eligibility criteria. You will get a scholarship from NITR like nitroaa.

There are so many clubs inNIT ROURKELA every student can participate in any club they like because we need to do some extracurricular activities like dance singing paintings sports or any other activities We will have time for this after college time. So it relaxes our stress and keeps our health even we can concentrate on our study.

I was in the hostel we have mess facilities and all other facilities like there are lots of shops restaurants we have on the campus itself but we need to pay hostel fee. we also have a sports playground in each hostel and it's so nice to be there. We also have good security staff and also for cleaning
