Remarks

1. I have applied to many private colleges like SRM, VIT, Thapar but when I got a chance in government I took admission in it because the college is in my own state and obviously it's financially very good. 2. I have got admission to the OBC quota and there are also many quotas but only for West Bengal students. 3. The criteria for Cooch Behar Government Engineering College is first you should have a domicile of west bengal because it takes students from West Bengal only. Then overall 65% and above for 10th and 12th boards. CBSE,ICSE and WBBSE board required. 4. The counseling process takes 3 rounds for all students in which students can upgrade their branch and colleges.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Infrastructure: The classrooms are quite huge and airy here. The infrastructure of our college is good, and it's improving day by day. In the next few years, we will see a well-furnished gym, common room, and auditorium. The girls' hostel has a great infrastructure and a trustworthy food facility. Our college has its own playground and cricket and a football team. A number of sports are being organized. Faculty: The teachers here are highly qualified, and many of them have a doctorate degree. They are knowledgeable and helpful. Their teaching quality is good and informative for the future. The course curriculum is relevant enough for the upcoming future. The subjects included in the course curriculum are related to our changing world. Other: I chose this course because it is an edge to both computer science and electrical engineering. This is indeed the best part, and I think this course is better. Scholarship facilities are provided here. The fest is organized once a year.

Internships Opportunities

2.5

Most of the professors send the top 5 or 10 students to different NITs for internships. It is not for everyone. By the way, you can find your own internship and can take permission from the university or college to do.

Placement Experience

3

As a new college, only one batch is passed out so the placement is not so good but as you can go off campus placement you will find a lot of opportunities. One main reason for this that it is on the outskirts. It's not in the metropolitan city.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is feasible, not so expensive. They only charge 3000 as tuition fee per semester and 1200 per semester as examination fee. There is only a girl hostel available and the fees of a girls hostel are 1200 per month. The scholarship is also given under makaut fee waiver scheme. Criteria for this that a student's annual income should be less than 1.5 lakh.

Campus Life

3.5

First of all, I haven't gone to college till now because of the pandemic but as I have heard the campus life is awesome there. The fest happens every year for all branches. Games events like football, chess, tennis and many more are there. Libraries are very nice with maximum availability of books. Many clubs are there for different artists.

Placement Experience:

I don't have idea about the placements since I'm in first year now. But I talked to a senior and got to know that many got multiple offers in 4th year. I also head that packages are around 4 lpa which is a decent and also a rise than the previous year.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Course Curriculum Overview:

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
