Introspecting in COET, bhubhneshwar

I am good at drawing, therefore bachelors in planning was best option for me. Also COET is a well reputed college of odisha and I didn't want to study out of my state . Hence i choose this college. Admission in this college is based on JEE mains rank , and it must be qualified. Admission process was through OJEE.nic.in . and there were 6 rounds of councelling.

I had an interest in field of architecture , And I am living in cuttack so bhubhneshwar is closest to my house , therefore i choose this course. student:faculty ratio is quite good, It is 1:15 in my college. Professors are M.tech and some are even PHD from IITs. Exams were conducted on time , and pretty much covered whole syllabus taught by professor. Exams were of moderate difficulty

From the 8th semester, students sit in placements. Companies like TCS ,Bosch , Accenture , Robert Bosch, Vedana, Asian Paints are some of the major recruiter in the college. The package is never officially released by college so nothing can be said as such , but Highest ackage ranges around 15lakhs. nearly 70% of students gets placed , while other opts for higher studies or off campus placement. I am planning to work in my own start-up

Being a government college there is no specific fee hike policy , It depends on state government and its policy wether the fee has to be hiked or not. There are state goverment funded scholarships to merititous students and depending on their parents annual income. There is no such concept of on-campus job while studying here.

There's no specifically annual fest in the college as of now, But there are many fests in Bhubhneswar which students tend to participate in and win prizes. In the central library , variety of books covering many departments are present , along with reseach journals. College has its cricket ground , where everyone usually spends there time playing varies sports. College has many clubs catering to society needs , coding club , dance club and music club are the major club in here.

A fan, chair, table, almirah, LAN port and a bed alongwith a cooler is present in rooms. Both veg and nonveg is served in hostel. Food is of average quality. The hostels are given by college committe and alloted randomly. Campus has hostels inside however day scholars are also peritted.
