Review on odisha university of technology and research as a student

Curriculum is very good and is updated constantly as per modern syllabus. Syllabus is similar to that of gate which is helpful for gate aspirants. Curriculum follow nit rourkela.for examination not easy as random colleges and not hard as nits so you need to prepare well for the exams otherwise lots of back papers are coming

College provides paid internship to students in their 3rd year Those college provided interships students need to clear interviews for selection If selected there is a good chance of offer from the same company It it mandatory to do intership in the 2nd and 3rd year so you need to arrange your own intership if you didn't get college provided interships

College provides decent placement. For it and software sector placement here is quite good but for core beaches placement is average but still lots of companies for core beaches come. Nearly 105 companies have already visited our college as per the current placement cell information. Placement percentage is nearly 80 percent overall and for it beaches it is nearly 90 percent Average package is 6 lpa Students become eligible for campus placement from 7th semister

Yearly fees is- 34500 for non-self sustaining couses and nearly 70000 per year for self sustaining couses besides it no other academic fees are there College gives merit based scholarship likely 10000 per year but one one apply for state or national scholarship for higher amount reduced fee amount for ews students

Campus life is average as their isn't lot of things but college organise various cultural and technical fest each year like xtacy , perception (technical fest) . college also do various state and national level competitions like hakathons There is a lot of clubs for various branches like energy club, aerospace club, dance club Also the college organise sports events like engineers cup and support extracurricular activities of students

Number of seats for college hostel is very less. For 1st year students hostel is outside the campus which are some rented houses. There are two hostels inside campus. Hostel seats are very less so a large number of students are staying pgs and rented houses near the college That is a big demerit. Even if your home is very far from college still if you don't have good rank in jee you are not going to get hostel In 2nd year you need to score good cgpa to get hostel In boys hostel two times of food are provided Food quality is very good Hostel rooms are adjustable

I only applied for govt colleges and iit nits According to my marks I got this college I choose this college because it is the top state govt engineering college in odisha and here placements are decent compatibility to other private colleges Addmission process is through jee mains mark.students need to participate in ojee councelling which is required for admission to state govt colleges in odisha

Faculty to students ratio is good there is sufficient teachers for all subjects in each section and the college constaly hires contractual faculties if needed There is two exams in a semister 1st is midterm and end term.students need to pass in both the exams for clearance

The admission process is based on jee rank. The the councelling process takes place through ojee councelling for students of odisha. Selection in brach depends on the jee rank . Generally top beaches like computer science it have very high cut off like below 1 lakh minimum.

The night life in our is quite silent. All the classes are finished at 5 pm . A lot of students in our area locals and others staying outside side campus. So times other than any events night in campus is empty. For students residing inside campus, hostel in time for girls is 7 pm and for boys is 10 pm . But as the college is present in bhubaneswar the capital of odisha there is a lot of places outside college to hang out with friends
