Remarks

Also applied for iit bhu but the branch was not as desired.Admission through jee advanced scores. Opening rank was around 9000 and closing rank was around 13800. Counselling was done in 6 rounds.Each round has options to freeze or float.

Course Curriculum Overview

This course was very attractive as I was always interested in metallurgy. This is one of the reasons to choose the course, besides, this college is one of the best in earth sciences. There is a high faculty-to-student ratio. Almost all faculty members are PHD holders. Exams happen 5 times in a semester (4 quiz+ end semester)

Class Size: 36Course Fees: INR 250000 per year

Internships Opportunities

The stipend is not fixed.It depends on the company. Like software companies offer more stipend than a core manufacturing company. In internships , again nature of work depends on which company you got in. Roles are decided thereby.

Placement Experience

Companies come for placement in the final year (ie 7 sem) .But a student can get a pre placement offer in the 3rd year itself. Companies like Amazon, tata steel (to name a few) visit for placement. Total offers made vary from 400-500.

Fees and Financial Aid

Tution fee is 1 lakh per semester. But waivers in fee and scholarships are given. Family income < 1 lakh per annum: full fee waiver. Family income between 1-5 lakh: 66.66% waiver. Besides, there is also merit cum means scholarship.

Campus Life

The annual fest is Srijan. A variety of books and journals are available. The campus has a very huge library. Also, we have an e-library with a huge collection of books and journals. Various clubs are there like : Roboism(robotics club), ARKA(astronomy club) Codeism(coding club)

Hostel Facilities

Facilities like a fan, a shelf, and a bed is already provided. Other things of need are to be brought by the students themselves according to their requirements. There can be 2-3 students in the same room. The meal is not the best but also not bad(normal). Registration for the hostel is done after admission.

Hostel Fee: INR 1500 per year

from 7th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placement there are lot of companies who used to visit our campus like microsoft gives 15 to 20 offer, amazon guves 13 to 15 offer , accenture gives a lot of offer like 30 offer and many more in recent year placement 64 lpa is highest and average of 12.5 lpa they use to offer forSDE role in last year 93.14percentage of total student get placed my plan is to get a full time job as software developer

INSIGHTS OF BIT MESRA

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem onwards students are able to face placements. Comapnies such as ZS, Deloite AB in bev microsoft visa comes here and normally takes 1-3 students. The highest package may vary from 40-50 lakhs and average is 4-5 lakhs. Internships opportunities are quite low here. In chemical enginnering only till now out of 120 students 20-30 got placed including out of campus palcements. I am hoping to do mba after pursuing the degree as there is less comapny visit for core branches.

BIT : A Freshman's Perspective

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to sit for placements from the 7th semester.A variety of companies including TATA Steel, JSL, JPL, Samsung, TCS and ABG visit the campus.The highest package offered is to Mining branch by vedanta which is 16.5 lpa.In core branches like mechanical and electrical the placement percentage reaches to almost 80%.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of our college is quite active and provides internship opportunities and pre-placement offers for students in their third and fourth years. It invites reputed companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Accenture, IBM, Intel, Infosys, Cognizant, Deloitte, and many more. The average package is about 12LPA and highest package is about 52 LPA. Branches like CSE offer even higher, lucrative packges.

1.The main thing about our campus, campus placements are so good. Branches like CSE & ECE have high placement percentage about 90. 2.From 3rd year students got involved college internships and programmes that allow them to better placements. 3.Top companies like Google,Microsoft,Amazon,Intel,Samsung etc visited our campus. And the highest package of our campus is about 60LPA offered by Amazon. 4.I planned to work after completing my B.Tech.

Placement Experience:

The placement of IIT dhanbad is very good and it offers a average package of 24lpa with highest package of 66lpa this year. Also every year more than 70% students get placed in our college. Specially the core companies shows a lot of interest in our college like coal india, sail, gail, petroleum industries companies, mining companies , etc Average package of cse here is 28lpa with 90% placement rate. Average of electrical is 23lpa with placement rate of 80%. Similarly, every branch average package lies between 18lpa to 24lpa.

Placement Experience:

The placement season starts during 7th semester when various companies come to camous to recruit students. Top companies such as google, amazon,microsoft, coal india, texas instumentation, ONGC etc visits the campus for recruirment. Around 60 -70 percent of the students get placed every year. The highest package from the camous was about 1cr . And the average package of the college was about 15-16 lakhs Apart from the capmus placement many students apply for off campus placement for which also tge college helps.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This college is an engineering college and I choose this college for a Btech degree in civil engineering. The teacher faculty is pretty well they teach us and do many practical labs. The student ratio in my class is 50:11 which means 50 boys and 11 girls in my branch. Mainly they all are DR they have dr degrees and they method is simply not like an extraordinary teacher. In my college teacher took all the exams at timely and it is not very difficult to pass
