My college - My experience

I visited the college first. I came to know about the college by seeing its surroundings and nature. So after I went to villa marie college there was an admission process going on. We waited in a room for our chance. After we got our chance we visited the admission department. They asked about my 12th percentage. So if the percentage is more, then we can get the college seat easily. So as my percentage was 87 they asked me which course I want to join. And I selected b.sc statistics. so they gave me a seat in B.sc.

I have chosen this course because I am interested in IT and software technology. As b.sc is a study of science I have selected this. The number of students in our class is 50. They will not take more than 50 students in b.sc.Coming to our faculty they are well experienced, all of them completed their pg or higher studies. They are very friendly in nature. Their teaching skills are also good. They make us understand. We used to have mid-exams, we wrote in the first year, but after that, they dint conduct again. Having them was like a practice for our semester-end exams. It helped a lot for our sem end exams.

Regarding placements, I can say that we will get a lot of placements in our college. We get companies like Tech Mahindra, TCS, Sutherlands, Amazon, Deloitte, Genpact, etc. Most of the students used to get placed in any of the companies. The highest package was 3.5l / annum and the least was 1.9/ annum So generally the one who can join the placement cell must have no backlogs and must have an average percentage of 60 or greater than 60. The students in the final year are eligible for placement. When they are in their 6 semesters they are eligible for placements. I always wanted to get placed in college placements.

The fee structure for b.sc is 44,000. It was less among all the courses. The Highest fee is for BBA. We don't get any scholarships in our college. It is not linked to any type of scholarship. Coming to our placements, we will get many companies to our college. It is one of the best benefits of our college.

Our life on the campus is used to be amazing. We use to have a lot of extracurricular activities. Starting from freshers, fest, events, farewell, Christmas Eve fest, etc. We will have freshers party at the beginning of the fresher's year, generally, they conduct in August. And we will have some events, like different courses will do events regarding their subject. We will have a fest on the occasion of Christmas. There will be a 3 days fest organized by the college. And we will also have a farewell party at the end of the semester. Coming to sports we even have a sports room. There is a separate team for cricket, basketball, etc. We also have a gym in our college. We can participate in any kind of sports regarding our interests. We also have clubs. So I was a member of scizone club as I'm a b.sc graduate. We have our instagram pages like villa Marie college,villa press, scizone club, techwizards club.vmdc in which you can refer about our activities.
