Entrance Preview

After completing B.Com(H) , I gave MAT and examination . The performance was not good in CAT but I remember that I scored around 85% in MAT.. I opt for these entrances as I want to do MBA in MARKETING which was later completed by joining SRM UNIVERSITY.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

The course structure of B.COM at that time was quite challenging in the 2nd and 3rd year as the subjects were quite tough and analytical which requires lot of Hard work. In the 1st year, the course was like the revision and application of the subjects that were taught to me at the 12th level.

Internships Opportunities

During the academic session of 2003-2006 we hardly had any companies visiting the campus and I am not sure that my college provides internship at that time because most of the students of our batches did not goes any internship.

Placement Experience

2.5

At that time, what I remember that there were two or three students who got placements in companies which were based on BPO and KPO. And one of the companies like VODAFONE do visited our campus for the job offering of a Store Manager and Sales Executives in Vodafone Store which was not upto the mark for us.

College Events

4.5

I remember about the fresher party that our senior gave to us in Raddison hotel and it was a grand party as I had a lot of fun. and there were various contest like Mr. and Miss. Fresher, Mr and Miss best smile etc. which adds to the fun.

Campus Life

3.5

There was 60/40 ratio of female to Male during my time in college. We use to arrange personal parties after the yearly examination. We use to have Times of India Workshop which include activities like discussing current affairs, making different articles from papers, and debate competitions.

Exam Structure

During that time, we use to have 2 internal examination and 1 main exam in an year which was not that much hectic. Condition applied that you keep on studying at regular intervals otherwise the chilled out schedule of the examination can also become hectic and one more thing that we do not have Semester System which is now quite common in the colleges.

Admission

After completing XII Commerce through CBSE, I scored 87% in best four and at that time SBSC morning cut off was 84% which easily made me eligible for the admission process which includes several steps.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

Placement Experience:

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...

Academically you can choose it but if you are looking for some fancy institution with some best infrastructure and fancy canteen I won't suggest you this college. But this college has one of the very best cricket team and one of our student named Mayank dagar is leading Indian National under-19 team. So I think you understand the impact.
