I took WBJEE entrance exam, i got nearly 12000 rank, since i want to pursue CSE, & this is the best college. I am getting as per my rank & also this college is nearest to my home, so i opt for this college.
Internships Opportunities
In my times, college does not provide internship, we need to take internship training from external institute, but after my batch, they provide the internship to bangkok (only for top 5 students of each streams). So , for now student have better chance for internship. & also we got soft skill classes conducted by infosys soft skill program, but you will get this only in 3rd & 4th year.
Placement Experience
Placement was bitter part of the institute & it was average as compared to any other institute of WBUT university, you can expect only few opportunity for on campus, & most of the students were dependent upon off campus for JOB. But only in JIS group of college, NIT is best in terms of placement compared to other institute.
College Events
College fest was an awesome event fr us we enjoyed a lot during 4 years of college many bengali popular artists came to perform on stage we had also tech fest to show your ability in technical & also many seminar were conducted on various technical topics.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fees were bit high as compared to other institute of WBUT university. In my time we need to pay 67k in a year, & overall we need to pay 2 lakh 83 thousands, in which only 5k was refundable. Actually in semester fees they are taking 10k in each semester for soft skill classes, which are worthless, bcoz upto 3rd year we took only 2- 3 classes for soft skill.
Fees and Financial Aid
Yes they provide scholarship but only for TFW quota student & also for loan, you will easily get education loan, since they have tied up with some bank.
Exam Structure
if you opt for b.tech courses you will have 8 semester in 4 year, labs exam were good & standard as compared to any other institute. In exam 30% marks is dependent upon lab exam, & i can say from my point of view if you are good student you can expect 26-28 marks out of 30, so its was plus point for you.
Admission
First of all i took WBJEE entrance exam,which is required to take any institute of WBUT university(currently known as MAKAUT) & after getting decent rank in wbjee, we have called for counselling, & from there i just find this institute is good as per my WBJEE rank.
Faculty
Faculty were very helpful & also knowledgeable . They are very frank to each student except for the first year student. They will always ready to help you in case of any help needed to you.
