Remarks
I had applied through WBJEE. There are 3 rounds and students are called according to their rank in WBJEE and when you confirm the college a payment of 40,000 is to be made to block the seat. Then the date of admission and all other necessary information will be provided by the college and you have to go to the college on that particular date for your admission.
Course Curriculum Overview
Exams are taken by the University to which this is affiliated, that is MAKAUT(Formerly WBUT). Apart from the semester exam, there will be 4 continuous assessment tests and 2 practical assessment tests for each semester. Exams are pretty decent and if you follow your class properly you can manage 70-80% marks.
Placement Experience
Placements are pretty good for noncore branches. Around 75-80% of students get placed every year. Rest of them goes for higher studies or start their own business. My short-term goal is to get a job first and gain experience. After that, I want to start my own company.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure is around 1,05,000/yr. TFW(Tuition Fees Waiver) is available subject to the availability of proper documents and income proof. Placements are pretty good. All major companies like TCS, CTS, Virtusa, L&T, DXC Technology, etc. visit the campus. There are some startups that are coming in this college recently offering around 10 LPA. The average Package is 3.5 LPA to 5 LPA.
Campus Life
There are many internal clubs such as Hardware club, Entrepreneurship development cell and major club such as Computer Society of India (CSI), Sports, Cultural clubs, etc. There are also some coding clubs available from GeeksForGeeks and AEC coding club, Code masters, etc.
