Remarks

The college is good if you want to be placed in IT companies for the rest of the courses there isn't much scope.

Entrance Preview

I gave IPU CET and my rank was 3520. I chose this college because of its placement record also it is the second best college under IPU.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Well the curriculum is school-like in the first year it changes completely once you get divided according to your branches. The course structure is pretty theoretical and not much scope of research you get passing marks easily without studying much.

Internships Opportunities

My college do not provide internships as far as i know but there might be some procedures that one has to get to know themselves.

Placement Experience

3.5

The placement is pretty good for Cs and IT students. Companies like hcl and amazon visit the campus. But no core companies visit for Mae or electrical branches. Companies like pay u money have come with packages of 9-10 lacs. And most of the students get placed. Accenture picks up students in a heap. Same is the case of Infosys. They offer a package of around 3.25 lac p.a. Companies like smartprix also visit the campus.

College Events

2.5

Annual tech and cultural fest named tech surge and mridang is organised annually in the month of february. Last year Hardy Sandhu performed at the above event in front of a crowd of about 1500 people an annual volleyball tournament is also organised with as many as 32 teams taking part in it also a blood donation camp is organised every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is about 1 lac p.a. which is at par with other engineering colleges. I would say its feasible for the middle class, but is a bit high for lower middle class people their is facility for education loan. I don't know about scholarships though. The fees can be deposited through DD OR NEFT.

Fees and Financial Aid

Well actually i haven't availed any scholarships from the college and neither do i know of any such scholarships availability.

Campus Life

3.5

The college life is pretty boring as there are no happening places around the college you have to go pretty far away to get something good to eat or to have fun. Also the gender ratio is not that good too many boys as is the case with most of the engineering colleges.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel has a very limited no of beds, so its necessary to book it as fast as you can otherwise the hostel facilities are pretty good the food is very tasty. Especially the snacks given in morning and evening. There are a lot of PGs near the college and one can easily walk to college from there. They are pretty affordable too.

Alumni/Alumna

I haven't had much interaction with my seniors but my other friends say that they are pretty helpful.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is pretty basic you have 1 internal of 30 marks which get halved and counted out of 15 10 marks in internal are given by the teacher and 75 are of external exam for theory practical is 40 internal and 60 external 10 marks given by teacher on the basis of attendance and assignments.

Admission

First you have to give the CET then you have to fill a form online for counseling then you have to go to the college to get your original documents verified. You have to submit your character certificate to the university. Also you have to submit your original documents for 1 year in the college.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty is good many teachers are good and enjoy teaching there are some teachers who are a bit on thee rough side and very strict in scoring as well as about ones attendance and behavior most of the faculty is young or middle aged apart from the mechanical branch.

The placements of MAIT are decent as compared to market conditions. But the data shown on website or availble at various platforms is not the reality. The mass chunk of students who get a job are placed under and around 6LPA package.

Course Curriculum Overview:

When it comes to curriculum everything us fine accept 1st year curriculum. My branch is ece in 1st year i have to study chemistry and physics which is no use for anybody in future it is just waste of time pretty outdated. For 2,3 and 4th year curriculum is far better than what it is in 1st year. Odd semester starts form August and after 2 month we have to give midsem exam.1 month after midsem we have to give endsem. There is very short time period between midsem and endsem examinations.Even semester starts form January everything is same as that of odd semester.

So placement cell is not present in college because of low intake of students but the students are very skilled to crack Gsoc , and other internship opportunities which lands them into big company. Also very good alumni network is present in college which boosts the placement of college.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good in DTU. Usually a student is eligible to sit in placements from 4th year. Last year 325+ companies visited the campus like google, abode, Amazon, Microsoft, zomato, samsung, maruti suzuki, etc. They all have made 2050+ offers. The highest domestic package was offered by Atlanssian of 82.05LPA. The overall average package was 16.71LPA. The average package of my branch (Production and Industrial Engineering) was 12.34LPA. And in tech branches like CSE, IT it was around 24-25 LPA. Almost everyone is allowed to sit for placements. In PIE branch around 60-65% of student got placed in on campus.
