Life at TINT in short

I had applied for the IEM Kolkata campus but didn't attend the college as I had found a better course in this college than that one. I had taken admission under the general category. I got admission through counselling in Wthe BJEE exam. The minimum marks required for admission is 75 percentage in science group. After paying my fees for the seat reservation I went to the college to submit the rest of the fees. There I was asked some general questions and then after the payment was done we left.

As I had a keen interest in technology and I love computers so I had chosen this course in Computer science and engineering. The faculty is to student ratio is 1:10 which is quite a good number. The faculties are mostly doctorate with a lot of practical knowledge in their fields. CA exams are held every month which are evaluated for our end semester besides this class tests are taken on a regular basis.

The college to provide internships to help the students during their study. Projects are generally prepared in the final year sometimes they took us to many of the big companies for demonstrating a large project or to take part in them. The college also has a student exchange program which provides an opportunity to the students for studying abroad.

AS the location of the college is in the centre surrounded by the famous tech companies like TCS, WIPRO etc. They all come to our college for recruitment. Many other big companies like Amazon, Microsoft, IBM too come to our colleges for hiring. The average salary is around 5 lacs per annum and the maximum can go up to 20 lacs per annum. The hiring percentage is around 75-80 percent.

The fees structure for our college is around 85000 yearly and a total course fee of around 3400000(INR) for a total of four years. There is also the facility for TFW which reduces the fees cost to a huge amt, under TFW the yearly cost is around 2500(INR). Besides this, the college also provides the facility to avail the different government and private scholarships which also reduces the cost to a huge amt.

The campus at Techno International New Town is very fascinating, the campus had facilities for both indoor and outdoor games, the campus had an open ground stage. the campus is located just beside many of the good hospitals of the city which would help the students in case of any emergency. The campus is just in front of the Biswa Bangla Gate which makes the travel route easier. The campus too had a central library with a huge stack of books to help the students moreover the campus had different clubs organizing different events.
