Remarks
I have only applied for this college after the 1st cut-off is out and then I got the admission in the course I wanted. There was no counseling available for new students at that time. Placements for science students are zero and the internship as well. It's all up to you that how you get all the jobs and internships. There are various quotas available for admission but I have not availed of any of them. Cut off is really high for all the courses in the college which filter the crowd. Fees are very pocket-friendly for all. And Miranda House is the best girls college with NIRF ranking 1st for consecutive 3-4 years.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I didn't want to settle for any single stream - zoology, botany, chemistry but I wanted to study all of them for which the course is the best option providing a lot of future options and wider scope. The faculty is really good and educated. Plus the number of teachers is quite high that you can never get a free lecture if a faculty is absent plus all of them are very dedicated. Practicals for our subject are very nicely taught with all the equipment. Be it zoology, botany, or chemistry. It's very good.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are various financial aids and scholarships provided by the college to the deserving and the needy students. It majorly depends upon the academic background of the students and the family income. They will ask for some certificates required and if they find the student really deserving they provide the financial aid /scholarship to the student.
Campus Life
Life at the campus is happening. There is always some activity or fest going on in the cafeteria organized by any of the departments in the college. Like the fest for our life sciences department which happens once a year and happened for 2-3 days constitutively with multiple fun and brain-draining activities. And the college fest which also happens for 3 days. One day it's DJ night then prom night followed by star night. That is a very colorful time of college. For students passing out of the college, they get a graduation dinner as a farewell organized by the students union. And then the farewell ane fresher's of each department is the best moment to share the glimpse of college life. In the case of extracurricular activities, the college has many societies in which students can participate like we have dance society, trip clubs, history clubs, adventure clubs, photography clubs, etc. The campus area is quite large with a hostel provided on the campus itself with very limited seats available.
