Entrance Preview

There is no particular entrance examination for the admission to this college. The college accepts admission on the basis of cut-off marks of the Senior Secondary Examination of CBSE or equivalent. I scored 96.5% marks in Class XIIth CBSE board exams and thus got admission in this college. The reasons for the particularity of the college are the quality of faculty of the college and the peer reviews.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Talking about course structure, college allows a proper exposure to practical knowledge along with the text in books. There are times when college undertakes research workshops or endorses willing and able students to the research workshops off-campus. To say in few words, the college has almost a perfect blend of text, practical and research works which are supported by research papers.

Internships Opportunities

The college provides opportunities for internships via AVENUES - THE PLACEMENT CELL. Listing some of the many companies visited campus for internships, v.i.z, Inshorts, Testament, Eventila, Adurcup, CampK12, Mentor. Yes, Deal Baskets Pvt. Ltd., Deals Right Now, Spoon DU etc.

Placement Experience

4.5

As mentioned earlier, the college has a placement cell, popular as AVENUES and all the placements in the college are managed through this. To be precise, about 80% of the candidates, who are willing to be placed, are placed. Mentioning some of the recent placement company visits to the campus.

College Events

5

Talking of events in the college, the months of September, January and February are apparently fixed for these events as September is the home of more than a dozen of fresher's party of different departments and the credit for mid-January, February and mid-March goes to the Festivals. About twice a dozen festivals are celebrated which features special events from different departments on their respective festivals.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is very very very feasible. Annual fee ranges from INR 6000-11000 for an year, which is apparently less than INR 1000 per month and that too for so so so many facilities. Also, the students from the categories namely scheduled castes and Scheduled Tribes can claim a refund of their fees if they can't afford that much expense.

Fees and Financial Aid

These are no as such facilities of loan availability but the college do provide and endorse the scholarships provided by various departments of the government. I am pretty much sure about the INSPIRE scholarship given by Department of Science and Technology.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

Hostel Facilities are not that much good and the mess in hotel is just bearable. However, over a period of last 2-3 years, such facilities are drastically improved. Hostels, on an average costs INR 50000 for the year including all expenses. If students want to reside in PGs. They may have to bear around INR 130000-200000 per annum.

Exam Structure

For examination, Semester system is followed. Exams are conducted twice a year and with a decent number of holidays in between. Students are chilled out as the exams are not that tough. Practical and Lab Exams are conducted firstly and after a gap of a week or two, theory exams are held.

Admission

The college accepts admission on the basis of cut-off marks of the Senior Secondary Examination of CBSE or equivalent. For this, college declares cut-off lists of various courses and categories of candidates and the candidate which are eligible under that cut-off are given 3-4 working days to get themselves admitted to the college.

Faculty

5

To teach a particular course, the teacher must be well qualified and competent. The teacher must hold a bachelor and masters degree in that specific discipline. The teacher must also be holding the doctrate degree of that particular discipline or must be pursuing such degree at the time he is teaching.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum consists of relatable topics and interesting ones as well this is what quite influenced me to take this course. We have labs which help us learn how to prepare various organic compounds which are used in many day to day products . The course also has a 4th year research program. There should be more equipments in lab for the research. The frequency is good for exams being conducted and there level is also quite good

Placement Experience:

The students become eligible for the placements provided by the college in their 3rd year, while they can pursue internship offered by the college in previous years. Average sized companies visited the campus with lots of students being placed for jobs. The highest package I am not aware of but lowest was of around 300000 pa. I plan to pursue masters after my graduation degree.

Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th semester. I don't know a lot about campus placements but I know that there is a training and placement cell in our college that provides good packages to many students. Some students got more than 7lpa last year. I will be doing my Post graduation after college and will make a career in academics.
