Remarks

I chose Shoolini University as my CAT percentile was about average and this was the university I was getting with my marks. I did not wish to drop another year so I just took my best option. Thankfully I did the interview well and was able to get in and also had to give a letter of intent. This was actually great for me as the Management School of Shoolini is ranked 76-100 among all Indian institutes at the 2020 NIRF Ranking.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

Our curriculum is pretty comprehensive. Oh, I almost forgot to mention but we have a skill development module in each quadmester which is known a SPRINT (Skill Progression thru Rapid, Intensive &Innovative Training). In each sprint week we focus on industry exposure, hands on experience on concepts through workshops with corporates, team based activities, etiquettes, leadership development, games and guest lectures. We also have group projects and practical assignments. Our evaluation is based on a continuous learning system where 70% weightage is on attendance, quizzes, course involvement, collaborative projects, quizzes and an additional 30% weightage is on mid-term and end term examinations. Our faculty is from UPenn, Oxford, Berkeley, the IITs and IIMs - the best in their fields.

Placement Experience

3.5

I am very glad to say that the MBA program at Shoolini University has had 100% placement record in the last 3 years. This really gives me some assurance about my future. I have seen my senior get placed at the top firms, MNCs and conglomerates like Airtel, SBI, ICICI, Genpact, Oberoi and so on. The highest package last year was 14 LPA I heard and the avarage is somewhere around 5 LPA I would think.

Fee Structure And Facilities

My total tuition fee for the degree is about 5 lakhs, I do not remember the exact amount. We have summer internships that give us a basic stipend which definitely helps however little. I know that there are over 2 dozen scholarships and a couple directly for us MBA students most of them are partial waivers and ranges from sports to single parents and experience and all. I do not remember the specifics but it should be there on their website.

Campus Life

4.5

My University, I am proud to say is one of India's cleanest campuses. We are known as the green campus because we produce 2 times more electricity than we consume! Ours is a sprawling campus located in the Kasauli Hills and is a great place for fresh ideas and clean air. We really get to enjoy hiking and cycling amidst nature. There are also various facilities available in the campus. We have the Milkha Singh Sports Complex and the Yuvraj Singh Stadium which are really good. We all love Table Tennis, Badminton, Cricket, adventure camp and such. There are plenty of ways to get involved in extracurricular activities with our many societies too! Dance, music, culinary arts, movies, adventure, coding & yoga are some popular clubs we have on campus.

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course because I liked horticulture .This course is very well applied in real world in cultivation and growing of vegetables, fruits and flowers and horticulture also has job opportunities in private sector. There are some improvements like more practical learning, real world exposure etc. that could be made to make this course more effecgive in real world application. The exams are conducted per semester and the difficulty level of exams is average.
