Remarks

With my CAT score and profile getting any IIM was not easy but at last I finally converted for IIM Sirmaur. Getting a IIM tag is valuable for me. Also the location of college which is in HP Sirmaur is one more factor which made me choose this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

The Course Curriculum is updated as followed by other IIM along with addition of new subjects if and when required. The classes are going online on WebEx digital platform and teachers are putting efforts so that classes can go smoothly, though it cannot be like offline medium but college is trying to facilitate with online platform. Club are conducting events online so students can participate but we still think if it would have been online.

The placement department is professional and does a lot of hardwork to raise the bar of average, highest package year on year basis and for increasing number of companies.

College Events

Though things are going online yet all the club and committee are celebrating different festivals over digital platform, organizing events and competition so that interested students can participate and enjoy as we had open mic competition recently.

Since have not been to campus yet, so no personal experience in this regard. As mentioned in site the college is equipped with mess facility, hostel with mess and all basic facilities. For guys who focus on health, the college have gym, option for indoor game and a football ground too.

Placement Experience:

Student become eligible form 7th semesters, Companies like Amazon, DeShaw, SalesForce, Deloitte, etc visit here and they respectively take a good number of students. Highest package was 80 LPA by DeShaw and average package is around 13 to 15 LPA 93 % students are placed I am also planning to sit in the placements and going in the development feild

Placement Experience:

At NIT Hamirpur, students become eligible for campus placements from the 7th semester onwards, and the placement scenario has been quite encouraging in recent years. A wide range of companies such as Infosys, Wipro, L\&T, Capgemini, Tata Projects, and several core as well as IT firms visit the campus every year. The highest placement touched an impressive 2.05 crore offered to a mechanical engineering student, while the overall average package stands at around 10.5 LPA, which is a strong figure compared to many other NITs. The placement percentage remains high, with a majority of students securing offers, especially in branches like CSE, IT, and ECE, though core branches like civil and mechanical also receive good opportunities. The profiles offered include roles in software development, consulting, design, project engineering, and research. After completing my degree, I plan to take advantage of these placement opportunities to gain solid industry experience and later decide whether to pursue higher studies or competitive exams for broader career growth.

I chose this course because I liked horticulture .This course is very well applied in real world in cultivation and growing of vegetables, fruits and flowers and horticulture also has job opportunities in private sector. There are some improvements like more practical learning, real world exposure etc. that could be made to make this course more effecgive in real world application. The exams are conducted per semester and the difficulty level of exams is average.

Remarks:

There are mostly good remarks for college like the environment in kangra Himachal Pradesh is best in the area. There are dhauladar hill ranges infront for college and fress air of hilly areas are good for students.
