VELS University is known as VISTAS located at Pallavaram,Chennai, TN. They conduct variety of courses. Easiness in getting an admission is the major attraction. They conduct management courses as well.VELS entrance also considered as an eligibility for MBA admission, which is easy compare to national level tests. So there is no extra edge to CAT/MAT/XAT score to get an admission. Candidates with Degree 50% aggregate marks can also seek admission for MBA if he qualifies the entrance test.Based on these criteria they prepare a merit cum short list and on verification of orginal documents give admission.5yrs integrated MBA programme also there for plus two students.University website gives detailed about the courses.

Commerce subject courses and management courses are under single department. The department is named as School of Management Studies and Commerce. The faculties are Ph D/Net qualified and experienced.The faculty students ratio comes as 1:20The hardness level of semester examinations is relatively less if we compare with IIMs and other leading institutions etc.

Six moths optional internship in Wall Street, NY, US is provided by University.It costs 5500 USD. University also provide students to work with students across the world and students from other Indian states. University keeps tie up with many companies to arrange internship as mentioned above.

For management students, from third semester they are eligible for placement. IBM, Amazon,Apollo Hospitals, TCS,SSTechnovision,Tech Mahindra,Enrich and Excell,Jaro education,Hedge group etc are the major companies arrange placement for students.During 2019-20 out of 1526 students of all branches including management 1183 students had been placed.the highest salary offered was 720000INR.

Fees per annum is within the range 200000 to 250000. There are seven MBA branches including integrated MBA. So rate of fee It depends up on the subject one choses. There is no specific provision on fees hike but happens occassionally as per decision of management.Students whose percentile in CAT/MAT exam 90-95% get 20% , 96 to 97 % get 30% and above 98% get 50 % fee concession. The student who scored VELS entrance above 60% also get 10% of conession in tuition fee for one year.

Technical symposium, management symposium etc under different titles are being organised by the university. The University has an automated large library has collection of thousands of books, journals,virtual library e book facilities. Moot court, cafeteria,hostel,sports complex,Gym,medical facilities,wifi campus shuttle services auditorium music room labs etc are the other amenities available for students.

There are4 hostels for boys and one for girls.All are average class. Meals are also available. Per semester about a sum of 45000 INR will be charged.On demand AC rooms also available. Medical services,mess and canteen service is there,laundry services available,indoor out door game facilities are also available for students in hostel. The university is in Chennai so rented can also be taken outside.

Selection is as per entrance score and academic marks.So only normal mode of interview is there. So there is no extra preparation is required to crack the screening. They used to check the academic history and subject knowledge and little bit management aptitude.
