Remarks
Eligibility criteria : I had to complete my Bachelor's degree and obtain atleast 50% marks at the qualifying examination. They also asked for my MAT and CMAT score. I chose LNMI because obviously fees structure is affordable and it's best among other management colleges in Bihar.
Course Curriculum Overview
Facilities provided to all the students included a computer centre with highly skilled manpower and networked system, and IT training centre, On Line Examination Facility, Internet facility and E-scholarship. E-scholarship is available for SC and ST and backward classes. I also had to attend the group discussion which was followed by a personal interview.Examinations are held at the end of each semester. My course included basic general management in my first year and now we are studying the advance level. I have a theory paper of 100 marks which was divided into 80% written and 20% internal. My other paper is Project and Viva which also is divided into 50% Project and 50% viva-voce. We are given four hours time for our theory paper. We also had to maintain 75% attendance of total classes held in all papers of the semester. Project Work included topics which are in the syllabus. Faculty is highly qualified and experienced; most of them are NET, SRF qualified. Teachers are very polite and guides us from basic to advance level. They are very supportive and makes sure we learn and learn right.
Internships Opportunities
I was provided an internship because of my excellent academic performance. I learned a lot during my internship and I was also provided with stipend of around 3k. I worked with HDFC Bank and it was hell of an experienced. To feel a part of something big, that motivated me. I am trying for my second internship and hope to hear back from them soon.
Placement Experience
Both in campus and off campus placement takes place. The institute maintains a separate placement cell. They takes various steps in preparing us for the placements. We are provided demo interviews and seminars by professionals. Various companies like HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, Aditya Birla Sun Life, Amazon, ITC, PRISM, etc recruits the best students of the University. The highest package offered last year was 10 lakh and around 60-70% get off campus placement.
Fee Structure And Facilities
I think our fees structure is affordable and very cheap. Private colleges provide the same course at higher rate. There is no scholarship as such so one can apply for educational loan. Internships are provided to the students which sometimes include stipends.
Campus Life
We had different clubs like cultural, social and literary. AAGAJ, our freshers party which happens every year at the beginning of the session. All the student committee members work together and organise all college events, even sports and annual fest. I myself is a member of the college art and craft team. It's my part time hobby. One thing I love about my life at LNMI is the debate discussion at the Speakers hall. We also had Alumni meets and workshops happening twice a year. Before the end of our semester, we had guest lectures and professionals. We also had career counselling sessions.
Hostel Facilities
The facilities provided in the room includes two single beds, two study table and one joint cupboard. We have common washroom and a tv hall with chairs. Food in the food hall doesn't taste like home but it's not that bad. We are provided change in the menu. Hostel is costly but money worth spent. We also get internet facility and hostel registration happens after admission. I received my form from the dean's office.
Admission
They ask about your bachelor course and the reasons why you choose this career. You can expect questions relevant to your current choice of course. I was also asked basis commerce and management questions. One has to be confident and sure while answering because that is very important in PI.
