Jadavpur University the underestimated college

Counseling was done online. We locked our choices and then we were done for. At each seat allotment date, we got our seats according to preference. Jadavpur University in one sense can rival even IITs and has got a NIRF ranking of 17 in engineering. So of course, if someone gets a chance to learn here then who doesn't and also regarding the fee structure which is so much affordable compared to IITs and NITs amounting to approx. Rs 11000 for the whole 4-year course. The admission criteria are the WBJEE rank... A rank within 1000 can land you in Jadavpur University... The minimum age is 17. Jadavpur University has got great placements even PSUs come in Jadavpur University with placement offers. All these facilities with such a low fee structure who doesn't want to study here. Electrical engineering is a core subject that has got its application in every phase of life. And also the placement in PSUs is rather large and appearing for UPSC ESE can be done. Faculty student ratio can be stated as 1 faculty for 23 students Faculty and the Professors or Ph.D. scholars teaching are awesome. They are helpful in teaching and will make us understand the things that we don't understand even from the basics. And also in Jadavpur University the faculty always help students who are from economically backward class. The faculty on the first day of the class has provided students with a broadband internet connection who are financially backward and cannot afford an internet connection. So in one sense faculty is nice. The exams are held timely except this year due to Covid 19 pandemic which has withheld many exams, then also exams are being conducted and probably from the next year everything will be back to normal

Internship offers are available even among govt. Organizations like Variable Energy Cyclotron Centre and also in other private companies like TCS, Goldman Sach's, etc with an average stipend of Rupees 20000 in Kolkata and for outside West Bengal Rupees 40000. But there is no stipend in govt. Organizations but offer a good researching area and projects with numerous pages and thesis to work on. Just like using CUDA for image processing in Nvidia RTX

From the 7th sem students are eligible for campus placements. The companies that come are Microsoft, Amazon, Flipkart, IBM, Infosys, Capgemini, Cognizant, Wipro, etc. The highest package reached on 2020 was approx 40LPA and the average package was 19LPA. Students getting placed are approx 90%. After getting degree I will appear for GATE and UPSC ESE from where I can be able to land a job in govt. Organizations or PSUs. I would also appear in examinations like ICRB for ISRO, RAC for DRDO and BARC exam

There has not been a fee hike recently since it is a state university. The fee structure is also low amounting to Rs 2750 per year, excluding hostel charges, etc. All the scholarships which can be applied like Aikyashree etc. And financial assistance is given to all students who are from economically backward classes. Even among students there has been regular practice of helping other students... A few PSUs come in Jadavpur University for campusing and also private companies like Microsoft, Amazon and many other companies come in Jadavpur for placement. One case is even among the lockdown in 2020 the highest package offered was 40+LPA

Srijan is the annual techno-management fest of Jadavpur University where no payment is required but one can enjoy it fully. Although superstars from Bollywood do not come here there have been constant concerts of music bands like Fossils, and many other musicians like Anupam Roy. The Central Library is the library used for us which contains numerous amount of books. Sports and extracurricular activities are encouraged at Jadavpur University. And also there are clubs which guide one to the right path like Mountaineering club, music club. There is also a rock climbing statue on the salt lake campus
