Sur Tech: A College Where You Can Excel

I was a Diploma student so I opted for the nearest B.Tech College as there are only two Automobile Colleges in Kolkata, and within these two Dr Sudhir Chandra Sur Degree Engineering College is nearest from my home. The minimum criteria for B.Tech that the students must have passed 10+2 and Students must pass the JEE Main and WBJEE and according to the rank, counselling will be done and they can take the admission in our college. For B.Tech Lateral Entry the candidate must pass the Diploma in engineering from any recognized university and thereafter Students must pass the WBJELET exam and according to their rank, they can take admission in our college.

As per the AICTE Guidelines, the desirable Faculty: Student ratio is 1:10 and minimum is 1:15. In our department 1:15 has been maintained. In our department, Maximum Teachers are Highly qualified. In my department Teachers, teaching skills are really very good. Two Semesters in every year and 4 Internal Class Assessments has been taken.

Our college gives us a chance of participating in several internship programs to extend our knowledge and helps us to grow up with some advanced knowledge into several Industries such as Mukesh Hyundai, WBSBSTC, Bhandari Motors, BEML, Bengal Tools etc.

Students are eligible for the campus placements from the beginning of the final year, Two Major Automobile Companies Ashok Leyland and Hyundai Motors are tied up with our College, they provide us with Industrial Training as well as the Internship. Repose India Pvt Limited, Trojous Peritous, Byju's, Madhus Garage, Tech Mahindra, TCS, AMCSPL etc these companies have visited our college to recruit us. Personally, I have a plan of being getting placed in a reputed Automotive Firm in my stream after completing B.Tech.

For B.Tech total fees are 4 lakhs, for B.Tech lateral Entry 2 lakhs 92000 and for B.Tech TFW total of 70000 is required to complete the B.Tech. There are various scholarships are available for our department such as Aikyashree, Swami Vivekananda Merit cum Means Scholarship, OASIS Scholarship etc and also Sitaram Jindal Foundation is there to provide Financial Assistance.

Every year our college students organize the Annual Techno-Management Fest named Manthan and now it is virtually organized and also organized Cultural Fest. It consists of both technical and cultural competition, where participants come from various colleges. There are plenty of classrooms and library books facilities provided by our college. One departmental library is also there in our department, from where we can access the departmental books also.
