Remarks

My university is specialized in Jain students. Almost 70% of students are Jains. There was no interview/entrance test for admission because of Covid 19 situation and also class 12th exams got canceled. The minimum 12th percentage required to take admission in my desired course was 50% and I got above it. I gave a small personal interview to my professor on a video call, they asked me few questions regarding my interests, my school life. I didn't score very well in my 12th so I didn't have many options to apply but this university was giving me the opportunity and it's also religiously familiar to me. My schoolmate also applied for the same University so it gives positive vibes too.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

My Course Bachelor in Computer Application ( BCA) I chose this course because I was fascinated about technology and the coding world from a young age and I couldn't take science in my 10th to engineering was not an option for me .. BCA was the only way for me to enter in IT world. My college faculty is very nice and also the alumni circle is very guiding and helpful when it comes to asking about careers. Our college has highly qualified faculty.. Their way of teaching is kind and easy to understand.. Term exams were kinda hard but it wasn't hard to pass If the student studied seriously in his semester ..

Internships Opportunities

3.5

The internship opportunities were decent. As a BCA batch we got internship offers in data related work like data analysis , data management and stipend was around 5k-20k per month.. Some internships wad short time like 1 month and some were as long as 6months. I got project to analyse data and predict outcome of sports matches and it was challenging and fun to do.. My internship was short period ( 3 months) and my stipend was 4k per month..

Placement Experience

5

The placement at our college was good. many companies visited our college and provided job offers to deserving students. Almost 80% students in my batch aplied for sitting in placements and 60% got placed..Tech giants like Microsoft , Google visited us and offered 20LPA package to CSE students .. Overall 250 companies visited campus placement this year almost all deserving students got placed. Highest package of this year was 22lpa offered by Amazon and average package was 5.5lpa ... 80% was the overall percentage of students got placed this year.. I also planned to get placed after getting my degree in upcoming year..

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure is very low and anyone could afford it easily also it's giving 50% scholarships to all Jain students regardless of their marks. They provide good placement and opportunities in all courses and also provide internships to deserving students.. Other than jain students , they provide scholarship to other categories students depending on their performance and marks.

Campus Life

2.5

Life at the campus is good. I am living here at hostel for some months now and my roommates, other students everyone is kind and disciplined. Our college host music event, dance events and other invitation to celebraties so students are very social here and they provide opportunities to student to showcase their talent.. Our library has 1200+ books related to all topics. We also have sports teams of our university which performs at state level and play with other colleges. Our alumni group visit our university very often and motivate students with their success and speech..

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel facility is above average but not so good because they don't allow nonveg in a hostel or anywhere in the campus area but the meal is tasty and healthy. They provided medical facilities to students living in hostels.. The menu is good they offer a good variety of food items.

Placement Experience:

Placements at Greater Noida Institute of Technology (GNIOT) are decent but not exceptional. Students usually become eligible for campus placements from the 5th semester onwards. Companies like TCS, Wipro, and Infosys visit the campus, along with some startups, and offer roles mainly in IT support, development, and trainee positions. The highest package offered is around 8–10 LPA, while the average package ranges between 4–5 LPA, and the lowest is around 2–3 LPA. Approximately 60–70% of students get placed, while others either go for higher studies or off-campus opportunities.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose the BCA program because of my interest in software development and web technologies. The curriculum’s focus on core subjects like Java, C++, and Database Management Systems (DBMS) was a major deciding factor, as these are the building blocks for a career in IT. ?The syllabus could be updated more frequently to include emerging technologies like Cloud Computing or AI/ML as core subjects rather than electives. Moving away from traditional rote learning toward more project-based learning would be beneficial. More frequent industry guest lectures would also bridge the gap between academia and corporate life The exam will be I would rate the difficulty as moderate. If you stay consistent with your lab work and internal assignments, the end-semester exams are quite manageable. The technical papers (like Mathematics or Architecture) tend to be the most challenging.

Placement Experience:

Around 70–80% of students from the course get placed through campus recruitment drives every year. The average package ranges between 3–5 LPA, while the highest package can go up to 8–10 LPA depending on skills and performance. Top recruiting companies include TCS, Wipro, Infosys, HCL, and other reputed firms. A good number of students also secure internships in companies related to their field, which helps in gaining practical exposure and industry experience. The common roles offered include software developer, data analyst, trainee engineer, and support roles, providing a solid start to students’ careers.

Placement Experience:

Placement in my college are very very average. I say below average because the placement average package of average 500 students was around 4 lakhs. And there are more than 10,000 students in my college. So the placement is very low. And the highest package for BCA, was around 10,00,000 and engineering around 20,00,000. An MBA was also around 13 to 14 lakhs. So the placement is very bad in my college.
