SurTech: A college where you can chase your dreams of becoming an Automobile Engineer.

I didn't apply for any other colleges as I was an Automobile enthusiast from the begining. I studied Automobile Engineering (Diploma) in the same college for the academic year 2016-19, so understanding the infrastructures available at this Institute helped me to select this college for my B.Tech. As, the Lab Facility available in this institute is of really high quality, I preferred this college over other institutes. I didn't avail any quota for admission. There is no such minimum or maximum age for Lateral Admission in Automobile Engineering. The minimum marks to avail this program is 40% in Diploma. The admission counsellor of our institute helped me a lot for the Admission, as he guided me to fill out the Admission form, where I had to provide all my educational and personal details. There was no such counselling day as I took a Direct Admission in this Institute. So, at the day of the admission, we fille dup the form and paid the admission fees to complete the process.

I was an Automobile Enthusiast from my school days and Ihad studied Diploma in Automobile Engineering from this institute also. so, I decided to pursue Higher Studies in the same course and same college, as the Infrastructure of the college is very good. As per the AICTE guidlines, the Faculty Student ratio should be1:15. Our department maintains a ratio of 1: 15 throughout all the academic years. The faculties are really qualified and some of them are pursuing Ph.D. The teaching method is really fantastic as they have certainly updated themselves to teach us by demonstrating Videos, Images, PPT's and demonstrating models. A new LMS has been incorporated in our college, which helps to collect all the relevant learning documents in one go. We can find Notes. Presentations, Assignments, Recorded lectures there. The internal class tests are conducted on every Saturday on fortnightly basis for a single subject in the LMS. The Slot Tests/Term Exams are conducted twice in a semester.

The college has a tie-up with Internshala, from where a student can get several Internship Opportunities. As per the suggestions of our Faculties, we have also enrolled ourselves in the AICTE -TULIP Portal, from where we can get many other opportunities also regarding Internships. This week, there was an Internship drive with a Design-Startup, Election, where five students got the opportunity of Free Internship. Our college has a Local NPTEL Chapter also. The Projects vary depending on the nature of the Companies. Last Year we had worked on designing Solar and Hybrid Vehicles as the project.

The students become eligible for Placements from the 6th Semester. Top Indian MNC's like TCS, Infosys, WIPRO, BYJU's, Repose Energy along with other companies like Capgemini, Sigma Electric, Hyundai, Amazon visits our college. This year, one of our seniors has received the highest package of 8 LPA from BYJU's, and the average Package is near about 2.5-3 LPA. Near about 75-85% placement takes place every year in our Institute. I am planning for a job in the Automotive Sector after the completion of my B.Tech.

The total course fees to study Automobile Engineering (Lateral) in our College is 2.92 Lakhs. As a Diploma student of this college, I got an Internal Scholarship of 10,000/Semester which made my total course fees as 2.32 Lakhs. If you compare the course fees with all other private colleges, you'll find this fees is comparatively less. So getting the quaity education with all these great infrastructure is really good and affordable. Because of the Pandemic and Lockdown, there hasn't been any Fees Hike for the last two years. I didn't observe any fees hike during my Diploma Years also. The JIS Group provides an Internal Scholarship of Rs.10,000/Semester to all of our Diploma students who wants to pursue their Higher studies, which is really a great initiative. As I wanted to continue my higher studies, I left the job which I got from this institute after completing my Diploma. The college helps by providing all the documents if any student wants to avail any schoalrship or Loan

Our college is located at a convenient place with all modes of transportation available. The college campus is green and lush with a beautiful football stadium also. WiFi is available everywhere, It's a ragging-free campus. Our college promotes disciplined lifestyle, all sorts of unethical activities are prevented in Campus. Manthan, the tech fest is conducted every year, in March. In this Pandemic situation, it was conducted virtually. The Cultural Fest follows the Tech Fest, and it is conducted in April. Nearly 45,000 books are there in our library. We can use reference books by issuing them. Presently, E-Books are delivered to the students, JIS Group carried out a Book Distribution Drive during the Pandemic at all parts of our state. To look after our overall development, Sports, Quizzes, Debates, and many cultural activities are conducted. We have an SAE collegiate club in our department to participate in the National Level competitions like SAE BAJA, Efficycle.
