Remarks
I have applied for Heritage,IEM, Techno Main Colleges but they are private colleges so I didn't attend those colleges. I opted for Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College in Electronics And Communication Engineering. The minimum ranks for getting selected in this college are probably 2500-10000. I don't know about the age limit.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because I have an interest in Electronics courses and I want to explore myself in the core department. The faculty-student ratio is about 2. The faculty members are highly educated and experienced. The exams are taken from time to time and questions are mostly moderated type.
Internships Opportunities
Students become eligible for internships from the first year of their 4 years course. The internships are paid or non-paid. There are many internships offered by Internshala and many online platforms where we can gather knowledge and skills which we can use in the future. A stipend for the internships is about 1000-5000 rs. There are various projects done by the students and those will help them a lot.
Placement Experience
Internships opportunities are given to the students of our college from the first year. Students become eligible for campus placements from the third or fourth year. Various Companies like TCS, Cognizant, and various MNC companies visit our college every year. 85% CSE and IT students get placed every year..and 80% of ECE students get placed in companies from campus placements.
Fees and Financial Aid
This course in Electronics And Communication Engineering costs nearly 62000 rs. In 4years And I received Swami Vivekananda Scholarship from West Bengal Government. For being a first-year student I am unable to say about Placement and job offers.
Campus Life
There are many fests conducted by Our college every year. Coding contests held every month by the Coding club of our college. The classroom atmosphere is very good and student-friendly. There is a sports club in our college including football, cricket, and volleyball. There are many clubs like Centre For Innovation, SAAC, Drama Club, Magic Club in our college.
Hostel Facilities
There are Four hostels on our college campus for students each year. There are girls' hostels also on the campus. In every hostel, there are like 40 rooms. Foods are delivered 3 times a day and these foods are healthy and tasty. The registration process of hostels held in online mode and the fees of hostels are 24k per year.
