There is no shortage of gaining knowledge

I have not applied to any other college. I have taken admission in this college directly. For B.Tech, Candidate must pass Higher Secondary (10+2) examination of West Bengal council of higher secondary education or equivalent examination from a counsil/board recognised by the state government/Central government concerned with individual passing marks Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with chemistry, biology having minimum 45% marks in the above subject taken together as well as pass in English with minimum of 30% marks. The lower age limit is 17.

The reason I chose the course is from an early age i have been fascinate with cars,bikes and any kind of vehicles. Teachers are very active and well qualified.they are very knowledgeable and they teach us easy understandable way.after end of each chapter they organises assessment test as well as assignment.they provide the necessary notes for each subject.the course curriculum is relevant and it make the students industry ready.The faculty student ratio is near about 1:20. As jis group has built it's own lms, the internal exams are now taken on regular basis. the term exams (slot tests) are conducted twice in each semester.

The college provides various Internship Opportunities from INTERNSHALA along with that, we have registered ourselves in AICTE-TULIP Portal for other opportunities also. So, we have Internship Opportunities available at our Institute.

The students become eligible for placement from the 6th semester onwards. Few of their valued Recruiters TATA AIG, Capgemini, Amazon, TCS, Tech Mahindra, IBM, Wipro, Hitachi consulting, As well as they have academic collaboration with Hyundai. Two seniors of mine have received a package of 8 LPA from BYJU. The average percentage of placement is near about 75-80%. After completing this course we get job opportunities in many automobile sectors. we can also start our own business. We can also do higher studies.

Fee Structure may change at any time depending upon the notification of the Government of West Bengal. I haven't observed any kind of Fee Hike Policy during my B.Tech course. JIS provides an Internal Scholarship of Rs. 60,000 to the students who have studied Diploma here. Apart from that, there are some government scholarships available as Swami Vivekananda Merit-Cum-Means Scholarship, Aikashree by West Bengal Minorities Development and Finance Corporation. Oasis Scholarship is also available to the Reserved Category students.

The annual tech fest, Manthan is conducted in March. And still even, in this situation, the Tech Fest is being held in the virtual mode. The Annual Cultural Fest is conducted in April, just after the Tech Fest. Presently, a lot of cultural activities are going on in the Virtual Mode. They organize freshers' welcome events, tree plantations, and environment awareness ceremonies. Blood donation and yoga camps are also organized. The library is very well organized and they provide us curriculum as well as other books whatever our required. Presently, E-Books have been provided to us for study purposes. JIS even conducted a book distribution ceremony: Library on Wheels, during pandemics to distribute books physically. The college is really active on Social Media Platforms, Facebook, Instagram. We have a departmental Facebook page also.
