Remarks
The admission process was made online from our batch (batch of 2016) for all the documentation and records which was a new way of processing. However, VIT offered the right assistance from their side regarding the whole process and made it as smooth as possible. They also organise a campus tour which helps both the parents and students to understand the campus culture and the whereabouts of the college better. The admission was based on a cummulative profile consisting of Jee mains score, Mhcet score as well as the 12th score.
Course Curriculum Overview
I aspired to get into automobile eng, however not a lot of colleges in Mumbai offered the course. Thus considering the fact that the whole auto scene would be shifting to electronics in near future, I decide to go ahead with Electronics Eng with VIT. VIT has some of the best faculties available for the electronics syllabys and it goes for all other branches too. The infrastructure of VIT is one of its highlights. The campus provides air conditioned classrooms and labs for the students, the basic structure of campus is quite modernistic and the campus was recently added with a den which consists of leisure activities like indoor sports, karoake, a lan gaming room and a PS-4 station, thats right. The library is well equipped too. As far as the teaching quality and material goes is a 9.5/10, the teachers take real pleasure in teaching their respective syllabus and are always ready to help the pupils out. The exams were always scheduled as per the university guidelines but enough prep time
Internships Opportunities
Several organizations offer internships courses like advance. The offered internships are targeted at various departments and interests ranging from literature to coding to machine handling. The industrial visits are paid but offer you an opportunity to move abroad and discover the fields of interest at a closer level.
Placement Experience
As far as the placement eligibility goes, it is standard. Students are eligible for placements from third-year itself. Various prestigious organizations like the Indian Navy visit the campus for placements. Besides, Accenture, TCS, and likes visit as bulk recruiters. The avg offers are in the range of 8-15l. 80-85% of students get placements with the only exceptions of those who opt-out for higher studies and masters. I consider myself in this group as I aspire for a master's in motorsports engineering.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fee structure lies in a higher range as the infrastructure rightly requires the same, the structure is as such for the quality that is provided. Various scholarships and financial aids are available. The campus has a reception of prestigious organizations like the Indian Navy for campus placements.
Campus Life
The campus is structured in a way that you'll always be a part of what's happening on the campus, whether it be any celebration, whether a tech fest. The annual fest consists of a variety of events and is a great spectacle and phenomenon. The college offers students to be a part of various councils like literature, tech, etc, and hence allow students to stay in touch with their interests and grow on the same front. The college also hosts an annual sports tournament across the college, which is organized by the sports council. All in all the VIT campus life is crazy fun hosting a wide diversity of interests and people all along.
