UEMK

I had previously applied for colleges like SRM, KIIT, VIT, etc but I didn't go there because of the COVID-19 situation. So I initially took provisional admission in UEMK after giving my IEMJEE test which was a bit tough. I was told to give 10K in advance for provisional admission after I passed that exam. I also got selected in several other colleges like Heritage, Techno, etc but I just leapt faith.

I chose CSE IOT because I always dreamt about cybersecurity stuff since I was a kid. Faculty: The student ratio is almost 2:50. 99% of our faculty members are PhD qualified professors with degrees from IITKGP, NITDGP, etc. We have six exams per year. Four midterms and two semesters. Yes, we faced a bit lot of pressure from other colleges in Kolkata. And we have subjects that have been made compulsory by our administrators which other colleges don't even consider as a subject. It is quite difficult to pass, at times students get depressed too.

Students do internships in Microsoft, google as well as in reputed colleges like IITKGP, IIT DELHI, etc. Many students did their interns and projects related to COVID. College helps to publish our application on Google play for free.

From the sixth semester, students become eligible for campus placements. Companies like Bajaj, TCS, WIPRO, CTS, etc have visited our college with the highest lpa of 72. The average package is about 5 lpa and almost 95% of students get placed. I want to do higher education.

The fees structure of UEMK is much less than other engineering colleges in West Bengal. It takes annually 140K and yes it provides free education for students who have lost their earning members in this COVID-19 situation. On campusing jobs are just wow in this college. It provides the best placement among all other private engineering colleges in West Bengal. Till now I didn't get any scholarship stuff because I'm just in my second year.

Developer Students Club by Google, Pragya Quiz Club, ACM student chapter and much more. Annually we have sports competitions like Football and Cricket events. If you are searching for books then we have two libraries which consist of innumerable books.
