Surtech: A Good Learning hub for Engineers

After completing my Diploma in the year 2018, I was looking for the best college in Kolkata where I can pursue my BTech in Automobile Engineering and I have searched for it and one day I have found a college which located at a very prime location and also it offers the very good for Automobile Engineering so that I have chosen this college. For Lateral Entry students, they have to first pass out the Diploma in Engineering from any of the recognized University and thereafter they have to sit for the WBJELET exam where they have to qualify for the exam and should score a very good rank to do B.Tech from this college.

I have chosen this course because I want to do a startup on Automobile, I can provide jobs to others so that employability can be increase. Frankly speaking, our faculties are awesome, they have depth on subjects, very well behaved and knowledgable and their teaching skill is really very good. They are well educated and very much capable to teach us. In one year 2-semester exams and 4 class assessments are taken.

Internships on various companies have been provided by our college T&P Cell, they organize on various companies such as in Eleation, Ashok Leyland, Hyundai Motors etc. I think that the internship opportunity will be improved the next time because now we are going through this pandemic situation so it's tough to organize the internship.

From the 7th semester, students are eligible for the campus placement, Several companies have visited our college such as Repose India Pvt Ltd, AMC Group of companies, TCS, CTS, Tech Mahindra, Bridgestone, TATA AIG car Insurance Pvt ltd, Madhus Garage, Trojous Peritous, Chegg India, Byju's etc. More than 65% of students are already been placed into various industries with some quality package. I have already told that I will concentrate on my business start-up plan on Automobile.

A BTech regular student needs 4 lakh rupees in total 4 years to complete the BTech and for a lateral entry, a student requires 3 lakh rupees to complete the BTech in Automobile Engineering. Yes, their lots of Scholarships are available in our college such as Swami Vivekananda Scholarship, Vidyalakshmi Scholarship, Vidyasarathi scholarship, OASIS Scholarship, Aikyashree Scholarship etc.

One Tech Fest organized every year in our college named Manthan and One cultural Fest organized every year named Sparsh, but now due to pandemic situation tech fest has been conducted on a virtual platform in the month of November. Two types of libraries I have found in my college one is a common library or general library for all and one is a departmental library, we can access the books from both of them. Annual Sports Competition, Annual Cricket Tournament, Annual Futsal Competition, Annual Football Tournament all are organized by our college sports committee.
