Success Behind the SSM Student

Lot of Good remarks about the college, there is no much bad remarks available. Our college was good place to study and grow. Students can enjoy their college life and shine with the carrier. All depends on the personal interest. If a student not coming to college for months, the management can assure no guarantee on their success. SSM policy is "We create success". So the students, faculty and management can work together for the student carrier. The college alone cant give you success. Every student must work hard and SSM always there to Help.

Common Engineering Entrance Test (CEET) , Score 194 out of 300. I m more ingested in electronics, so i preferred to choose Electronics and Communications engineers.

Before selecting the college,i visited the SSM campus. It was near to my home town and was well constructed infra structure. The location of the college was very peaceful. I m so interested in electronics. I selected ECE based on my interest. Where i can explore more about the communication technology as well.

During 2007 & 2008 we got more companies for the campus interview. The stipend starts from 2.2L/a. Multi national companies in various departments conducted interview in SSM.

Placement and job opportunities were low in market during 2008. Still SSM manages to get more companies for the ON and OFF campus interviews. More that 60% of the students were got placed during 2007-08. Most of them are Information Technology, Textile technology and Fashion technology related companies.

Every year there will be Technofest will be conducted, all colleges will be invited to present the technical papers and Quiz and debate will be conducted And every year Pongal, Onam and Diwali celebrations will be organised by the management. Best department prizes will be distributed,

There is semester based fee. Some poor students also for special permission from the correspondence for flexible payment as well. Every month bus fee will be collected. if any student couldn't pay the fee in time, they will also get the special permission from AO with parents meeting conducted. No student got dismissed for not paying the sem fee.

All government allocated scholorships will be organised by the faculties. they will always help to get the scholarship from the respective departments.

Cultural activities will be always happening like freshers welcome party, final years farewell party. Sports day will be conducted every year with multi college students. Teachers day and other celebration also happened. Ethnic wear will be allowed during the festival celebration.

Hostel foods fine. Regular items may make you feel bored. as a days caller, i enjoyed the food very much. There no permission to get food for the day caller. still we will managed to get food from our hostel friends. During the festival time the food were very nice than usual.

During 2004-08 we got lot of help from the seniors. From the lab to the notes sharing they were always helping. Alumini meet happening every year. the frequent mail invitations still receiving.

Exam structure follows the ANNA university regular pattern. There monthly tests and 3 Model exams. Each exam is valuated for the final internal marks. Each mid term and model exam results gains 5 marks in results. There was no much pressure on the final exam as well.

Through counselling by conducted by self financing professional colleges in 2004. Intimation got through website and advertisement. We had to write entrance exam and based on the cut off mark including the HSC exam marks, Counselling was conducted in Coimbatore.

The faculty in the college were very experienced. Each department, they have well experienced professors. Most of the lectures are friendly and kind hearted. Also they are strict to the discipline and punctuality. The standard of the teaching is high. And lab felicity was well organised.
