Course Curriculum Overview
I am in civil engineering department . I have a strong fascination towards building , infrastructures.civil engineering is best field. nitk surathkal have very experienced faculty for civil engineering. We have well equipped labs.many projects are going on. Our course is very well planned so that we can learn every minute aspects of civil engineering.
Internships Opportunities
Yes our college provide internship. Students of sixth semester and seventh semester goes to internship in companies like Google,amazon,microsoft and many local companies. Our college also provide internship in foreign universities. Many have gone for it. Many students gets direct job from this internships with good package and perks. Internship stipend varies from 5000 -50000 per month and more.
College Events
We celebrate many technical,cultural,management,and social fest in our college. Main technical fest of our college is "engineer"which is celebrated in month of October or November. It's biggest technical fest in south India.many workshop,technical events like robowar,p perfect machine are organised.

We have two banks in our campus. There is facility available for student loan in them and college also provide scholarship for minority students.

We have a alumni association in which all passed out students are members. All our seniors are in our contact.and helps us whenever help is required.
Exam Structure
NITK surathkal have well planned students evaluation structure. Student are evaluated throughout the course. We are evaluated everyday. Teachers give us assignment,projects,homework. Which we have to complete everyday. Then we have 2 semester exam and 2 surprise quizzes. Every semester is of 4-5 months course in we are taught 6 subjects each semester.
Admission
I wrote JEE main exam where I got 203 marks then they checked our pre university percentile performance.and they gave us all India rank. After that we have to submit our documents regarding performance and previous education. We have to fill an option form where we have to fill our choice of college.
Faculty
We have a excellent teaching faculty. 95 percentage of our professors are PhD holders. They are master in their subjects. Many have done research in deep topics of subjects. Most of them have good teaching experience.many have worked in many foreign universities.
