Remarks

It's a very prestigious college. But everything has it's cons and pros so I would like to mention active participation of the college management in making the college more better than what it is.

Entrance Preview

It is a well reputed college having a good infrastructure and faculty. It comprises of various courses in the field of science, commerce and arts . thereby providing students to choose their field and perform excel in that.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

I'm a commerce student pursuing B.Com and the faculty for commerce department is very good and humble. We've proper computer labs for the subject. We've projectors in every classroom thereby providing e-learning to all its students. All the students are asked to make presentation which helps in enhancing a students ability to deal with digital making.

Internships Opportunities

No our college doesn't provide internship. But the placement cell of our college does make us aware of all the internship opportunities thereby helping students to know about these optimal opportunities.

Placement Experience

4.5

Kamala Nehru college provide good placement and jobs opportunities to it's students. Companies such as Ernst and young , kpmg , niit , urbanclap , wipro , Google visit our college. Recently Ernst and Young recruited 25 students for the post an associate auditor providing a package of 3.3 lakhs and other amenities. Kpmg provided a package of 2.8 lakhs , niit provided a package of 6lakhs for the post of Senior Editor. In 2012 Google recruited 2 students from college.

College Events

4

Various events are celebrated in the college. Different departments have different fests. In a college where there are several courses of science, commerce and arts have various fests like commerce , history , philosophy , journalism fests etc. It also have an annual fest. It also has a diwali fest

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is very feasible. Colleges in Delhi university have a very feasible fee structure comprising from 4,000-25,000 yearly. Different courses have different fee structure , courses of commerce and arts have less fee than science courses since they use the laboratory .

Fees and Financial Aid

To my knowledge there is no good scholarship or loan facility is provided by the college. But there is a prize distribution ceremony every year in which the scholars are provided with awards and cash prize.

Campus Life

4

Campus life of college is at it's best. Kamala Nehru provides it's students a big campus with a very large ground for football, cricket and even has a basketball court. There is very beautiful , pleasant chauppal where various skits are performed. Alot of students come from various corners of the country. We even have few students from the overseas.

Hostel Facilities

4

There is no hostel provided by the college. But the location is very good and safe for the students and provides alot of places to accommodate themselves. There are alot of PG's and flats available for the students whose average rental varies from 8,000-15,000 per month. The college canteen is very amazing with lots of variety of good and healthy food.

Alumni/Alumna

The seniors of the kamala Nehru college are very helpful. Few of my seniors who are now working with big companies helped a lot when I went through the placement procedure.

Exam Structure

There is a semester system in Delhi university. The students have to give two semester in a year. The examinations are held in November-December and in May-June. Two shifts are there first is the morning shift I.e. from 9a.m-12noon and second is the evening shift I.e. from 3p.m. -6 p.m.

Admission

I'm a commerce student and in my 12th standard I got 92% as best of four subjects. Kamala Nehru College comes in the Delhi University. And in delhi university a student needs to score good score in his/her 12th so that he/she can meet the required cutoffs of their preferred college and preferred course. Once your percentage meets the cut-offs given by the college , you can take admission in it.

Faculty

4

The faculty of my college is very good. They are very polite , humble ,helpful. All the teachers are highly educated thereby teaching their students to the best of their ability and helping them in making better career opportunities. All the teachers , staff of the college are friendly and takes participation in any college fests, departmental fresher's or farewells.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Well i choose this course because I didn't got what I wanted. Many students are from arts background who got this course because they had no option. The curriculum is same as school all chapters and everything. The law section is new. About buisness and law and everything. Rest is same. Changes in curriculum is not in their hands. But if they could actually change the accounting syllabus. The timing of exams is normal 2:30 to 6:30. And internal test taken by perspective teacher are according to their time and class. They will take retest incase you didn't attended.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I really was interested in finance and taxation from the beginning. This course aligned rightly with my interests. The curriculum is based on real world applications. Corporate accounting, financial accounting, company law, human resource management, these are very important considering change in the job market and business world. Not only real world applications but one can also go for further academic pursuit such as a master's degree and research. This makes the curriculum really diverse. Some areas of suggestions would be that in theory subjects there should be practical activities. Just like vestibular training. The time of exams is just right. After the completion of syllabus of a particular subject, we are given 10 days of preparation leave. The exams are moderate and it really tests our ability and knowledge based on our studies.

Placement Experience:

For placements fifth semester student are eligible for placements. Since it is best commerce college. Companies like big 4, google, bank of America, Goldman Sachs, bcg, bain and co., Sbi, paytm, meesho and many more comes. The highest package was 36 LPA this year from meesho for senior analyst roles. Average package is 10 LPA. Most of the placements take place in consulting, marketing, auditing, finance and analyst roles. Around more than 50% of the students get placed. My plan is to take placements in consulting and finance roles after the degree from the college.

The placement is quite good the percentage of students is not same always it changes but only those students with proper knowledge, experience, skills get good placement. There is a proper placement cell for this which is very active. Prepare for government exams (SSC, UPSC, etc.) Go for higher education (PG, B.Ed., MBA, etc.) Enroll in skill-based or professional certification courses outside college

Placement Experience:

The placement of my college is good if you perform well in the process of selection, as I told earlier, the placement cell is pretty active, so you would have a good number of options. I will be naming the good companies that visited my college, they were EY, Deloitte, DE SHAW, TCS, KPMG, etc. Numerous offers were made and I would say over 80% students in my batch got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

In open learning management.. they provide hard copy of books tk prepare whole semester and this is a very good thing because those books are covering whole semester in some books only and there is a v good thing I found... At the end of every chapter they provide summaries and mock questions for every chapter to analyse the weakness and strength. the areas for improvements in the Course Curriculum and Teaching Methods--- they should also provide a mock test paper as per the paper model and latest questions or updated topics with to the point topics The difficulty is normal if candidate is completely prepared...
