Best college for engineering students

I applied for DTU and NSIT and went with NSIT as I got a Mechanical branch there. I have not availed of any quota. The admission criteria were the JEE Mains rank. The admission process was smooth and on the counseling day they introduced us to the faculty and there was a question and answer round where parents, as well as students, can interact with the faculty and senior students with all the questions they have.

I choose the Mechanical engineering course. Faculties are available for all the subjects and if for some subjects the faculty was not available, the college provided us with faculty from outside. Exams were in every 3-4 months that including mid-sem and final sem exams.

College does provide internship opportunities in the 5th semester which are paid as well as unpaid internships from various organizations. The stipend in the internships varies between 10,000 to 50,000 INR. My internship was in a lamps manufacturers company where my role was in the assembly department.

students in the 7th semester are eligible for the placement on campus. Many companies visit the campus for placements including; Bain, BCG, Zomato, Collegedunia, Praxis global alliance, Maruti, Delloite, ZS, etc. The average package at the college is around 8 LPA and around 60% of students get placements. My plan after the degree was to get a good job in management consulting.

The fees were for one year of the course (two-semester) and varied btw 92,000 to 1,15,000 INR in my four years of course. I have no information about the scholarships. About the placement; the college provides us lot of placements opportunities and the placement cell is very active.

The campus life at NSIT is awesome. books are available for almost all the subjects and courses. Classrooms don't have air conditioners but they do have lifts in the building. There are many sports in our college including cricket, basketball, long tennis, badminton, kabaddi, etc. and many students take part in the annual sports fest as well.
