ANNA UNIVERSITY's TNPCEE examination. But the common entrance scrapped from that year itself i.e. 2010. Now college is recruiting through HSE marks only. There is special quota for North east students.

Courses for first year is general for all except some department courses. From 2nd year onwards, all the department courses starts dealing electrical and electronics related subjects etc. Also, there were practical sessions in electrical labs, electronics lab, c and java classes etc.

No, there are no internships but people go to internship by their own reference as it was mandatory to get 6 weeks of internship training. Certificates are to be produced to the college for proof. Internships helped us to understand industries better.

Placement cell is completely handled by student representatives from each department. Head of the placement cell is from senior most faculty member of the college. And job opportunities are unlimited-all top notch IT companies visit the campus and core related companies regularly visit the college and recruit limited students.

Technical events of each and every department are conducted nationally in the name of TECHNOFEST every year. All students in and around Tamilnadu participate in the events. Also cultural events are conducted for state level students. And student conducted freshers cultural events are organised regularly apart from departmental events.

Fee structure is one of the lowest in the state. The college is fully autonomous government aided college. So fees for completing the entire course was only Rs.2,00,000 for the entire four years. So many banks provide loans for that amount too as it is one of the reputed college in the state.

College provide scholarships for meritorious students of all departments. Also state and central government provided scholarships are also applicable. Also Alumnus provide ample scholarships for financially weak students and almost the entire tuition fees get waived off.

Campus life is great as the college as very good tennis courts, cricket and hockey grounds,amphitheatre. Also the gender ratio is very good with very high female population in all departments except mechanical. Various competitions are conducted and NCC,NSS are active clubs available. Also students headed 18 clubs available in the college.

All the senior students are very helpful in sharing info and materials for study. They are helpful in conducting mock exams and interviews for or final year students. Alumnus regularly visit colleges every year and interact with faculties. All the alumnus are in high positions in the companies as it is more than 60 year old institution.

Exams were conducted by college itself as it is fully autonomous college. Exams were little difficult but time between each exams were good for regular preparation people. Also, exams are strictly followed by professors and mid term exams are calculated for internal marks. Quiz and class participation also hold marks in internals.

Physics,chemistry and maths marks are converted to 200 marks. And then TNPCEE exam marks (out of 100) are added and the final score was computed. Finally, Ranking of the student is given for general category and caste based category. Now that system is scrapped.

Faculties were excellent in terms of imparting knowledge and personal experiences. They make us work individually with good guidance in lab sessions. Moreover department has many doctorate faculties and many senior professors who are pursuing their doctorate degree. They allow students to choose all posts and work to their own capacity.
