Asansol Engineering College is a private academic institution dedicated to providing educational opportunities for the intellectual, social, and professional development of a diverse student population. To achieve this purpose, the institution offers focused and balanced curricula at Undergraduate, Masters, and Doctoral levels. A broad-based course curriculum is offered to promote critical thinking, effective verbal and written communication, and skills for lifelong learnings, and this is the main reason for which i have not taken admission in any other colleges. As my father's income is very low, so i have availed the quota of the Tuition Fees Wavier Scheme. It has provided various financial help and my college fees were reduced upto 30% and the college authority born me additional expenses related to academics. All you need is a decent rank in your JEE MAINS or the WBJEE and have to have good marks of at least 75% in your XII th and X th boards exams.

I have chosen this course because the consistent advancements and innovations happening in the domain of electrical engineering have paved the way for immense opportunities for engineers to exercise their academic and theoretical acumen and experiment with their ideas to make significant innovations and improvisations. The Department of Electrical Engineering has more than 600 students and about 50-55 teachers. So the student to faculty ratio of the Electrical department is approximately 1:12 Asansol Engineering College has more than 900 academic and research staff, many leaders in their fields with international reputations provide a stimulating learning environment and excellent standards of teaching. It is one of the self-financing institutions in the country where top functionaries, including Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor, are renowned academicians.

From 5th semester students generally become eligible for campus placements . The companies that visit our college for placements are DBS, DELL,ENDURANCE,NOVARTIS, DELLOITE, HYUNDAI, SAP,TCS and 24 other companies. The placement cell of our college claimed that the highest package offered is 16.87 lakhs per annum and the lowest package offered is.23 lakhs per annum. Placement is one of the advantages that AEC offers since its inception . It has an impecable records in campus placements. Around more than 87 percent of the students are able to get placements.

Students of the Electrical Engineering department are charged with fees of 45000 per semester including the lab fees and fees of various other facilities provided by the college. The fees charged for our course is a little bit expensive for students belonging from lower-middle-class families, but they dont need to worry as the college provides the facility of student loan and has also introduced various scholarships programmes to facilitate the needs of the students. The various scholarships offered by our college are AEC-Poverty-Cum-Merit Scholarships, Teaching Assistanceships, AEC Merit Scholarships, M.Tech Students Scholarships, and many more.

The central library of our college has set the goal of establishing a world-class library by integrating information sources and services across disciplines in one umbrella by building a sound and comprehensive collection of both conventional and electronic resources on all branches of knowledge with robust Hitech infrastructural facilities and to redesign and revamp the systems and services in efficient, effective and dynamic ways tailoring to meet the myraid information needs of the students. There are an adequate number of classrooms in each campus for more than 4000 students enrolled in our college. Classrooms are air-conditioned and designed as per the international standard. The teaching is imparted with the help of LCD projectors and other sophisticated teaching aids. Our college has the vision to promote sports and games among the students and staff members. The College stadium has the capacity to hold day and night matches, and the capacity to hold 40000 spectators.

There are seperate hostels for boys and girls with round-the-clock wireless internet and intranet connectivity. About 30% of the hostel rooms are air-conditioned. All the hostels have attached canteens serving good quality Indian and Continental foods. A dedicated international hostel accommodates foreign students. Each hostel has a 24-hour reading room and facilities for indoor and outdoor games. The foodstuff served at the hostels has been acclaimed to be of a very high standard. Special foods items are served for special occasions and a grand feast is arranged at the end of every month. Meticulous care is taken of sanitary requirements and maintenance. The hostels have spacious and furnished rooms, wide verandas encourage impromptu discussions and act as 'thinking spaces'. While the natural surroundings instill a sense of peace and quiet.
