Entrance Preview

AIEEE WBJEE, I applied through WBJEE because I wanted to study computer science and stay away from my hometown.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum is good for all the streams especially for computer science students, the mechanical engineering and civil engineering streams are not so good though as they are new, but the labs are good. The subjects and syllabus for each semester are well designed,It covers all the important computer topics including programming languages.

Internships Opportunities

There is an internship arranged but very few students qualify for that because the seats are limited. The stipends varies from company to company but the internship experience is good as we get to put our best foot and compete with others.

Placement Experience

4

The placement opportunity provide is great.from the start . A lot of great companies visit to campus TCS ,Wipro , Infosys , Syntel , SAP Labs , Mindfire etc . The packages varies from 3.0 LPA to 4.5 LPA. Almost all the students gets placed into the companies and few of them get into good universities for their higher education. Allover the placement opportunities are superb.

College Events

4

There are lots of events celebrated in the colleges starting from the fest technical and cultural. The comes the e week which is the entrepreneurship week celebrated in college,we have robotics events, teachers day, annual day, foundation day. Its fun as these events are interesting and helps us connect and build our network.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is quite feasible as compared to the other colleges in the university plus the facilitates are good. It ranges around 6 lpa including hostel and some miscellaneous charges. Although I would day the hostel is not worth the charges as its expensive.

Fees and Financial Aid

Although some amount of scholarship is provided to meritorious students but there is no loan facility provided, they need to be availed from the banks separately.

Campus Life

4.5

The gender ratio is around 3:4, there is diversity but I would say most peoples are from the nearby states and cities. The labs extracurricular sports activities are held on a big platform and other college students also participate in these activities. It provides a good opportunity to showcase our skills and build networks.

Hostel Facilities

3.5

The hostel room are clean and the facilitates provided is good but the charges are a bit on the higher side. The mess food is decent , not that great and they provide only vegetarian food, again I would say the mess charges are also not worth the quality of food provided. It like around 4-5 K per month.

Alumni/Alumna

The alumni network is very strong and connected and we are having a bit meet every once or twice a year to check everything is right on track and also provided help if needed by others.

Exam Structure

The exams are divided into internal and external where internal comprises of a slight percentage in the exam. The labs exam is also divided into internal and external exams. As part of the daily curriculum there is one lab every other day , so its a bit chilled out from the regular theory classes.

Admission

I applied through WBJEE. The notification released around March and I applied for the exam. I clear the exam and went for the counselling session which happens for around a week for all the qualified students. It allows us to select the college and stream of our choice according to the merit and availability.

Faculty

4

The faculty of the college is easy to approach. It ranges from very experienced professors to young teachers. They are very diverse in their specific field of study and provides clarity to the students. The lab faculty is very generous and makes sure that each of the students get to perform the lab task activities.

Placement Experience:

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

It's my decision from class 12 that I will do civil engineering, so I chose the civil branch, the course curriculum is well and the teaching level is good but the main problem is lab, there is very limited classes for lab, so I think they should improve there.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
