Entrance Preview

All India Engineering Entrance Exam 2008, I got All india rank 8000, BIT Mesra is a well known Institution in India after IITs.

Course Curriculum Overview

Curriculum is best in India for Engineering student. We are to cover basic of all engineering syllabus including software programming ,basic mechanics,basic electrical and electronics,Industry practices,IT etc. Also a through emphasis is given on Core branches of a student using various projects and Laboratory.

Internships Opportunities

Well sometimes my college provide intern-ship but not a regular phenomena. Only if a project required and Director approves Intern-ship can be provided to a out siders.

Placement Experience

Placement is best in INDIA, Gogle, Microsoft ,Texas instrument ,TATA are premium company visit Mesra also many electronics and computer company of world-class came every year. For Civil Gammon ,Cater piller are one of common companies,for mechanical HONDA, Hero , maruti, mahindra visit us.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure at our time 2008-2012 was 35 thousand each semester tuition fee,10 thousand mess fee and hostel fee. every student have to remain inside campus hostels. Total for eight semester we have to pay around four lacks rupees It has now increased to 6-8 lacks I guess but you get loans from Bank for this college.

Exam Structure

Mid semester every 2 months starting of a semester of 25 marks, then end semester at 4-5 months after semester starts is of 60 marks. 10 marks are for assignment in each subject and 5 marks for attendance. So total 100 marks for each subject. There are around 5-6 100 marks theory papers and 4-5 lab exams of 50 marks every semester.Total 8 semester are there based on all 8 we get our net CGPA.

Admission

Central Counselling was conducted every year for AIEEE qualified candidates at various centre all over india. candidates appear to a centre and book seat online. On the basis of his rank he is offered best available colleges to him.I got called on first day of counselling and choosen BIT MESRA.

Faculty

Faculties of BIT Mesra are best in india, Almost all are from either industry managements or higher degree holder in respective department. Faculty always available for support of students for creative projects and innovations. Regular test are conducted by them for a full fledged preparations of student for industry and research.

Placement Experience:

from 7th semester onwards students become eligible for campus placement there are lot of companies who used to visit our campus like microsoft gives 15 to 20 offer, amazon guves 13 to 15 offer , accenture gives a lot of offer like 30 offer and many more in recent year placement 64 lpa is highest and average of 12.5 lpa they use to offer forSDE role in last year 93.14percentage of total student get placed my plan is to get a full time job as software developer

INSIGHTS OF BIT MESRA

Placement Experience:

From 7th sem onwards students are able to face placements. Comapnies such as ZS, Deloite AB in bev microsoft visa comes here and normally takes 1-3 students. The highest package may vary from 40-50 lakhs and average is 4-5 lakhs. Internships opportunities are quite low here. In chemical enginnering only till now out of 120 students 20-30 got placed including out of campus palcements. I am hoping to do mba after pursuing the degree as there is less comapny visit for core branches.

BIT : A Freshman's Perspective

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible to sit for placements from the 7th semester.A variety of companies including TATA Steel, JSL, JPL, Samsung, TCS and ABG visit the campus.The highest package offered is to Mining branch by vedanta which is 16.5 lpa.In core branches like mechanical and electrical the placement percentage reaches to almost 80%.

Placement Experience:

The placement cell of our college is quite active and provides internship opportunities and pre-placement offers for students in their third and fourth years. It invites reputed companies like Microsoft, Google, Amazon, Accenture, IBM, Intel, Infosys, Cognizant, Deloitte, and many more. The average package is about 12LPA and highest package is about 52 LPA. Branches like CSE offer even higher, lucrative packges.

The placement of IIT dhanbad is very good and it offers a average package of 24lpa with highest package of 66lpa this year. Also every year more than 70% students get placed in our college. Specially the core companies shows a lot of interest in our college like coal india, sail, gail, petroleum industries companies, mining companies , etc Average package of cse here is 28lpa with 90% placement rate. Average of electrical is 23lpa with placement rate of 80%. Similarly, every branch average package lies between 18lpa to 24lpa.

Placement Experience:

The placement season starts during 7th semester when various companies come to camous to recruit students. Top companies such as google, amazon,microsoft, coal india, texas instumentation, ONGC etc visits the campus for recruirment. Around 60 -70 percent of the students get placed every year. The highest package from the camous was about 1cr . And the average package of the college was about 15-16 lakhs Apart from the capmus placement many students apply for off campus placement for which also tge college helps.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This college is an engineering college and I choose this college for a Btech degree in civil engineering. The teacher faculty is pretty well they teach us and do many practical labs. The student ratio in my class is 50:11 which means 50 boys and 11 girls in my branch. Mainly they all are DR they have dr degrees and they method is simply not like an extraordinary teacher. In my college teacher took all the exams at timely and it is not very difficult to pass

Overall Experience and all reality of Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi

I had NIT Raipur Chemical Engg, rejected it because I didn't like the campus amenities of the same, zero sports facilities, they play Football on a Red Soil literally. I got this in CSAB and hence it was a better ranked college than NITRR, i've heard of people opting a lower preferred branch in BITM over a branch in NITRR such the brand value of the college. I scored pretty avg in JEE 58k rank so wasn't eligible for all the clgs anyhow. Admission process is pretty simple JOSSA and CSAB. Admission experience is obviously good because why would a clg not welcome a laxmi lol jk....Read More
