Remarks
The admission criteria for admission in Bcom Hons in accounting and finance was needed at least 60 marks in accountancy to apply for this course and the admission depends upon the cut-off list. The cut-off list went to 70% when I took admission. Since I had 74% I had no problems. During the admission day, we had to verify our mark sheets and pass certificates for class 12th and pay the fees with the college authorities. And on the next day, we had to fill a form for admission to the Calcutta University and get ourselves registered. That's it that was the process we got our fees payment challan and form copy attested by the college universities. Id card was issued within a month. The process was easy and the college authorities were helpful.
Course Curriculum Overview
1. I chose this course as it is very well blended with the CA course. Plus attendance is not an issue with this college. 2. The faculty-student ratio is good we have like 6 faculty for every 60 students so it is 1 for every 10. 3.The professors were very well qualified. Their teaching method was a great blend of modern and traditional methods. I enjoyed the teaching culture here. 4. The term exams were timely. And it is very easy to pass the college as well as the university examinations even if you study 1 month before the exams.
Fees and Financial Aid
During my time the fee was 4500 for 1st year with a 10% hike every year. The cost to study is cheap and you can get scholarships as well if you score well in the university examinations. There are no campus placements for the BCom finance and accounting course.
Campus Life
The annual fest of the college is made in the month of May in the Rabindra Manch. The library is huge and you will get a lot of books to update your knowledge in any field. There are a lot of amenities in the classroom you get water drinking facilities the classroom is neat and clean. There are not a lot of sports and extracurricular activities on the campus. Students do manage a lot of social groups on social sites and they also run websites to help each other they also make private individual forums to discuss studies.
