Remarks

Minimum Makrs is as aper the guidelines of WBJEE & JEE (MAIN) (Earlier AIEEE). I had admitted in Narula Institute of Technology, through Direct Admission through my WBJEE Rank card. From 4th August 2015 onwards my 1st semester class was Started. In my Stream Electrical Engineering Class strength is of 60 students in Two section,i.e, Total 120 students. But, from 2nd year onwards, there will be 70 students in each section,i.e, total 140 students due to the admission of lateral entry of diploma passed students in our B.Tech course. Admission in My college for B.Tech in Electrical Engineering occur through counseling of WBJEE,JEE MAIN (Earlier AIEEE) & through Direct Admission without counseling but with valid rank card of WBJEE & JEE MAIN exam.My total course fee was 382000 but Now, the course fee is around 420000 for B.Tech in my college.

Course Curriculum Overview

0.5

Actually, I loved Physics in my school days. Electrical Engineering is a part of physics so, i have choosed with the advice of my father. But, i can assure you Electrical Engineering is a very interesting stream. Honest Review: Approx 10 faculty for 140 students Qualification of faculty: mostly M.Tech, but 2 have PHD in Electrical Engineering Department. But, only 1 PHD Faculty take classes from 3rd year. Teaching Method: Very very bad not upto the mark for cracking GATE exam. 99% of the faculties don't know much about Electrical Engineering. Forget about cracking GATE exam, if you are taught only from them. Exam is taken timely. As i am the student of it's first autonomous batch, i can tell you to follow classes & class notes, Whatever question you will get in exam, it will be from your class notes. You just have to follow classes rigorously to score more than 8 CGPA. U will get suggestions before exam, so anybody can score more than 8 or 9 CGPA by mugging up that suggestion.

Placement Experience

1.5

4th year candidates are eligible for placement. Placement is very bad here, if u are a student of core stream & don't want to join any IT company, your situation will be worst. IT companies like Capgemini,TechMahindra (not for electrical students) came only. But, Companies like TCS, INFOSYS,IBM, WIPRO don't came. If u are selected through off campus placement in any IT COMPANIES like in IBM, WIPRO,TCS, college will show you as placed from college & advertise with ur picture. I can tell u about my Electrical Engineering 140 students only. Highest package: 3.6LPA (total 4 students) Our batch topper from electrical Engineering is getting 18k salary/Month. Average Package: 1.8LPA Lowest Package: 1.2 students. Placement percentage: around 15% in Electrical Engineering but it will be higher in CSE,IT,ECE stream. If u have to take admission here, 4 getting atleast 25k salary/month either go for IT COMPANIES or u have to prepare for Government Job exams like me even after getting 8.43 CGPA.

Fees and Financial Aid

Fee Structure: around 420000 for B.Tech you have to pay to college Scholarship: You will get all kind of scholarship Honestly, i have not received any scholarship but some of my friends received it. Jobs: Out of 140 students in Electrical Engineering, around 20 students got job. Highest salary in Capgemini , around 3.6LPA. 4 got placed in Capgemini, 1 in wipro & some in other IT companies. But, nobody in TCS. I have been placed in VastuVihar with 15k salary/month(But, didn't join due to low salary), which is the first company came in my final year but eligibility was atleast 8 CGPA. As i had 8.43 CGPA,so, i was eligible to sit in exams for additional 3 companies wd 6PLA package. But, believe me, hardly 1 students from whole JIS group colleges got job in these companies per year. Generally, 99% students from electrical Engineering got job with 1.2LPA to 1.8LPA job, if you are not interested to go in IT sector. If you go for IT sector u may get 3LPA to 3.6LPA.

Campus Life

4

NAVODAYA is our Annual cultural fest & Kritanj is our Tech fest. In my opinion,Amenities in classroom is good. Books available in library is sufficient for University level exam but not for Cracking GATE EXAM. Ya, there are sports & extracurricular activities on the campus but i have never participated in that. But, there are no place to sit & wait , if u don't have classes in particular time. Canteen is very small. So, sometimes, we have to sit in the upstairs & sometimes in the playground. College should think about it.

The campus placements happen in final year of the course. There is a well established placement cell to conduct the on-campus placements. Many well renowned companies visit our college namely Microsoft, Google, TI, TSL, PWC, ICICI, ABG. L&T, etc. The highest package was 50LPA and the average was around 9LPA. Over 90% students got placed from across every department and details of the placement is also available in the college official website. I have gotten a job from the on-campus drive to a core company.

Placement Experience:

The placements of our college are below average. Studies for placement are more or less relevant from second semester. companies like tcs, amazon etc do visit our campus however very few are selected with package above 4-5 LPA. Most of the students seek out for higher studies and that's my plan too.

Placement Experience:

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
