Remarks
Applied to FORE, TAPMI, MANAGE, IIFM, XIMU. I could have converted MANAGE but due to my parents, advice of brand name got into XIMU. Converted FORE. TAPMI waiting list was 223. I am GM candidate. GD/PI was taken in all the colleges.
Course Curriculum Overview
I have an agriculture background so I went for rural management. 80% of the faculties are good. Some visiting faculty are not that good. Teaching methods were interactive and case study-based. Term exams happened on time and difficulty was moderate.
Internships Opportunities
All the students bagged their internships in their second or third sem. Due to the pandemic, the stipend got reduced a bit. But the work opportunities were good. Most of the companies were well known and experienced ones.
Placement Experience
From the 4th Sem, students become eligible for campus placements. Companies from BFSI, Agri, development, and microfinance visit the campus. More than 95% of students get placed on the campus itself. My plan is to work under a good company for the initial years and take further decisions based on the work culture and opportunities given.
Fees and Financial Aid
No scholarship facility. Fees are quite high. Even during online classes, the management didn't reduce the fees. We brought the textbooks and management reimbursed the amount later. This was a complex process that could have been avoided.
Campus Life
Xamboree is an annual fest conducted in XIMU in winter. Most of the books and journals are available in the library. The classroom has a digital board and ACs. There is both indoor and outdoor playground space for games.
Hostel Facilities
The meal is Ok ok that is we can adjust. We have to order meals on mobile on a daily basis. Charges are taken accordingly. The room has a bed, fan, study table. Registration is quite easy. There are no PGs available in and around the campus.
Interview Experience
GD topics given to us were Digital classes, Demonetization, technology in agriculture. Questions were asked on Rural India, NABARD, and various other provisions for farmers. I used to read a newspaper regularly. And my degree knowledge helped me a lot in cracking the interview.
