None of the above mentioned entrance has been taken since because I was a lateral entry student. I opted this college, as it stood 2nd Rank among the self financing institutions in Tamilnadu. Excellent infrastructure, & placement. Good coaching, & Good hospitality for hostlers.
Course Curriculum Overview
It's a common , General syllabus & curriculum course for Mechanical Engineering dept. Covers all basics , core of mechanical engineering( materials, thermal engineering, design, manufacturing, etc). Papers presentation, projects exhibition were encouraged inline with course as a research enhancement.
Internships Opportunities
That time our college has just started the internship through Industry Institute Partnership cell. Through that a crew got pattern for their product. For waivers the came out with an excellent idea that elimination of Hand effort in Hand looms by fixing extra mechanism in the loom. Moreover science exhibition were promoted .
Placement Experience
More than 90% of students were placed via on and off campus from reputed companies like Cognisant, Wipro, Infosys, Caterpillar, Bosch, TVS, etc. I got placed in the first company Cognizant, chennai. An average of 3 lakh per annum were paid. Caterpillar India 6 lakhs per annum have been paid. And 4 students got select.
College Events
Each end every department have their own inter college competition and intra as well. Papers presentation, quiz, other fun activities, cultural programmes were conducted among that days.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Moderate fee structure Rs.42500 /- per annum have been paid. Slightly more than government fixed fees(I.e Rs.32,500/-,). For top 10 secures concessions were given Rs 10000. Apart from tuition fees books fees were collected. And excellent text books were provided. For Hostlers as an admission fees Rs.10000 were collected .
Fees and Financial Aid
For university Rank holders 100% fees exemptions were given. For 10 Rank holders in each and every department Rs.10000 fees has been exempted.
Campus Life
Memorable campus life. 60 -40 was the male female Ratio. And as for as mechanical department 99-1was the male female Ratio. Students from all parts of the state were studied. keralites and NRIs were also given admission. Good infrastructure for sports were provided.
Exam Structure
Good exam structure. Monthly cycle test has been conducted. To ensure students for getting good scores in semester exams. Lab facility and assistance were good. Students allowed to perform practicals in any time.
Admission
Through counselling I got admission. I secured 94% marks in my diploma studies. I have applied for engineering admission counselling (Anna university at 2006.) At the time institute came under Anna university, chennai. By single window system I opted this institutions.
