Our College-Aligarh Muslim University

First, we had to appear in the written examination of 100 marks (one mark for one question) in which the syllabus are maths, general knowledge, English, and general awareness. If I talk about the examination the question level was moderate and I was able to attempt almost 80 85 questions and I could correct 70 questions. After some days almost 1200 students were selected for the GD/PI which was of 25 marks in which there were 4 to 5 teachers who were asking questions one by one and the question was related to family background, academic background, etc. And then after some days, the final result was announced in which almost 60 students got selected in the MBA(ALIGARH) and the rest have been selected according to their preferences like MBA(MALAPPURAM), MBA(IB), MBA(IBF), etc.

Actually, since when I was started thinking about my career I wanted to pursue MBA because it will boost my career and I can learn a lot from this course, and after doing some classes. I think I was right. The faculty-student ratio is 1:60. And because of online teaching, it is easy to cover a large number of students in a single class. And also teachers give responses to each and every query related to our class. All the faculties have good experience and all are P.hd. holders and also they completed their training from IIM. Our term examination has been delayed due to covid. But now we have given the examination and our next semester will be started soon.

There are many companies that offered intern for the students like Internshala, pie Infocom, CETI foundation, My captain, etc. The internship is based on your interest I e. in which sector do you want to pursue your MBA. And some companies give stipends with internships and some are not.

From the 3rd semester students are eligible for the campus placements and in our college number of companies come for the placements. The companies are from each sector of MBA i. e. Finance, Marketing, HR, Operations, IB, Islamic Banking, etc. And the companies are like Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, IIFL, HCL, IBM, Yes Bank, Nerolac Paints, Berger Paints, Toppers, BYJU'S, Saudi Azmi(Riyadh based company) The average package of the placements are 3 to 5 lakh and the highest package is up to 10 lakh. Almost 60 to 70 percent of students getting placements from campus. My plan is to get a job in any financial sector.

Scholarship like SAHR is given to the students who are needy and this scholarship is organized by the Alumni of the college. And right now I am in the first year that's why I don't get any job opportunity at this time and due to examination I have also not applied for an intern but now I am trying for an intern.

Actually, this is the covid time and because of that, we don't see the face of college. All the classes, as well as examination, is held online. So, I don't know much about the club which was run by the students.

As we were going there for the examination and interview and we could see the locality was good enough for living. But I think there is no need to make room or PG on rent because our university has enough space to accommodate their students. There is almost 20 Hall of residence and in each residence, there are 8 to 10 hostels. So it will be easy for us to get a room in the college hostel.

Yes, we faced a written test and GD/PI for admission. And the topics of GD/PI were personal and academic background and why this course and some questions related to the subject from we did our graduation.
