Remarks
I applied to PGDAV College, which has a good reputation, but when I arrived at the college, I discovered that it was above what I had imagined based on the ratings. I applied for a B.Sc in Computer Science at required a minimum of 75% in physics, chemistry, and maths. The Admission procedure was great. There were seniors to guide you throughout the whole admission process. They will make things easier for you.
Course Curriculum Overview
I selected this course because of the increasing demands of IT officials in the industry. There are more than 200 students in the whole CS department while the total number of Faculty is approx 15. Most of the faculty had their PhD done in a similar field and their teaching was pretty decent all the time. Exams were on time, there is no such case of delaying the exams. The pattern of exams was good if you have studied the 10-year question paper then you'll find them very easy.
Internships Opportunities
There are lots of opportunities available for students who want internships. Internships are updated on the weekly basis. Internship in every field is available it's up to you which internship suits you best.
Placement Experience
The placements at PGDAV are above what you have expected. A final-year student is eligible for placements. In the placement session of 2020-21, more than 150 companies appeared and hundreds of offers were made. The highest package was 19.50 LPA and the average package was 4.3 LPA. Above 60% of students were placed in this session. If no placements were offered then it's definitely going to affect the unemployment rate as more people will come under this category. If someone is not getting a placement offer then the student must go for the master's degree or should give competitive exams for the government jobs.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees structure is quite decent it has all kinds of fees included you don't have to pay extra for anything after you paid the college fees. There are plenty of scholarships available but you have to contact your faculty to avail them. I've been placed in 21 degrees via college placements with a package of 7.5 LPA.
Campus Life
Life at PGDAV is sorted. There is no rule for attending the lectures, if you want to study you can attend if you don't want to attend you can skip that lecture. One can easily get friendly with the college's culture of freedom and chilled vibes everywhere. There are lots of clubs and societies in which you can participate and be part of them by which you can interact with the other students of the college. Talking about the infrastructure, the buildings are very decent and attractive in terms of visuals. Finely made classrooms and labs, which have all the essentials that are required by the students and teacher. PGDAV's library is a point of attraction for all book bugs, you'll have access to thousands of books and journals for free. Then there is an application that was developed by the students of the CS department to help juniors throughout the journey. It has all kinds of assignments, projects, sample question papers, and other supplements.
