Everything About My College

IIT BHU is the premium college of Uttar Pradesh. As I belong to Uttar Pradesh, IIT BHU was my first preference. As I am a general candidate I didn't avail any quota during admission. Admission to this college is based on JEE advanced results. I was admitted to the college in July 2019. The first week of the college is an orientation program in which we are free to walk out the whole campus and learn about the campus. Then after one week, our classes had started. One has to go through the counseling process to get admitted to the college.

I had an interest in this field that's why I chose this course. The students is to faculty ratio is approximately 1:60. There are more than 30 professors in my department, and everyone is highly qualified, and the teaching method of the teacher is very good. They teach every topic very clearly, and if we have any doubts, they clear our every doubt. Their teaching approach is practical based rather than theoritical. There are two exams in one semester. One is Mid Semester Exam, and another one is the End Semester exam. Overall difficulty of the exams remains moderate and if one attends all the classes sincerely he/she can easily score well in exams.

Many companies come and offer internships to the students and also provide good stipend. Companies like - Samsung, Cisco, Infosys also give the PPO (Pre Placement Offer). There are so many projects which we can do under Teachers of other departments too. Stipend as high as 1L is also provided to the students which completely depends on student's knowledge, calliber and value they provide to the company.

The placement scenario is very good in our college. From 7th semester, students get eligible for campus placement. Many Indian and MNC companies come to college. Some of them are - Adobe, Google, Microsoft, Samsung, Oracle, Infosys etc. The highest placement is offered this year is 1.52 crore per annum. And the average placement is offer is 8.2 Lakhs per annum. The percent of students getting placed is about 80%. My plans after getting the degree are to take the placement and do the job or do MBA.

There has been no fee hike since I have joined this college, and the fee of one semester is 100950 for UG students. There are so many scholarships in the college that you can avail yourself if you are eligible for the scholarship. Many merits and non merit based scholarship opportunities are available to the students of our college. I have not got any job yet because I am in the second year now.

Three fests are held in our college. First is "Kashiyatra", which is a cultural fest held in the moth of February. The second is "Technex", which is a tech-fest held in the month of March. And the last one is "FMC Weekend" which is held in the month of October. Apart from this many small scale events are held in our college time to time. Thousands of Books and journals are available in the library, and the library opens 24 hours for students. There are enough facilities in the classroom to provide one of the best learning environment to the students. The sports fest held in the college is "Spardha". The sports scenario of this college is very good and there is cricket ground, tennis court, badminton court etc to provide best sports environment to the students. There are various clubs like Literary Council, Sports Club, Chess Club, Photography Club etc in the college.

The hostel facilities are really great. Structure wise hostels are well maintained. There are three-seater rooms in the first year. There is enough space in the rooms. The food quality is very good in terms of taste and quality. A lot of variety is served to the students. The fee of mess is 12000 per semester. The registration is done on the college website, and there are no additional fees for a hostel. There are many private PGs available around the college premises if one wishes can reside in them.
