The Practical Overview

Atfirst I selected for KIIT in 2020 majoring computer science and engineering. But their fees stucture is very high and I can't afford it so I withdraw my admission. After that I sat for West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE). Then I got Government College of Engineering and Textile Technology Berhampore. I got the computer science and engineering stream. I secured general merit rank (GMR) 30660. I availed SC quota for my admission and I secured 2423 SC rank. Admission process is completely based on GMR and all processes are in online mode. In admisssion criteria the minimum age is 17 years. Accurately I don't know the the minimum marks but I got 27 marks. In councelling day they call out our names and those who are present go and take their admission.

I choose Computer Science and Engineering course because I have an interest in software programming. In our college faculty is less than required. in my stream, there are 12 faculty for 40 students. The faculties are highly trained and their teaching method is also good. They All have a master's degree and some faculties have a post-doctorate degree. The faculties are very punctual and they always keep in contact with their students. They take exams on monthly basis and the difficulty level is moderate.

Campus placements in our college are average. From 6th sem students are eligible for campus placements. There are lots of companies visit the college like TCS, Cognizant , Wipro etc. The highest package is nearly 12 lpa and the average package is 4 lpa. 50 percent of students are getting placements. I am looking for a good job after completing this couse.

The fees structure is Rs.13000 per year and for four years it will take a max of Rs.55000. I didn't get a scholarship. But scholarship is available for Poor and minority students. Because it is a government college its fees are much much less than any private college.

Campus life in our college is too good all the students are respect their teachers and classmates also. College fest name is ALFRESHCO and it is conducted in July month every year. Our college campus is not so big. It is situated in the middle of BERHAMPORE town. Our Library is very big and it contains lots of books. there are so many sports in our college like cricket, football, chess. Our classrooms are not highly tech provided like private colleges. Like all governments college, our college also has the minimum equipment for conducting a class. As I am a CSE student we have a coding club group that is run by the students.
