Remarks

I applied for VITEE which i cleard with 21,000 rank but the cost was just way too high - % lakhs for sem 1 even in merit. At PSGCT, B.Sc applied science admission was through school marks and an average of 80% was enough to get a seat there. The admission process took just one day with quick selections and was very easy.

Course Curriculum Overview

5

Landed at this course for practicing for IIT JEE once again. Course is brilliant. It has a triple major core in chemistry, physics and maths,. Computer applications are allied courses for semesters 1-5. During the final semester, we are supposed to choose the specialization in our field of the sciences of phy, chem and maths, The course is very nice for a research career. We got IT placement also at Delloitte, Cognizant, TCS, Wipro and MRF tyres. About 10 faculties were there and were very friendly and fully supportive. Al faculties were Ph.D. Subjects were taught nicely and so exams were easy. I cleared IIT Jam physics and hence I think that the syllabus is good. Many were confident and a few cleared IIT JAM chemistry too.

Internships Opportunities

4.5

We did not have internship in our curriculum. We have projects in the final semester which is dedicated for that solely. We could choose any prof in the college for a research type project. other projects during 2nd year was also encouraged and I did one too to participate ina completion.

Placement Experience

4

We got the following through B.Sc Applied Science: Dellotie- 22k/month package TCS - 19k/month CTS - 17k/month MRF - 20k/month (Packages are approx) Placements training by the placement cell os the college is also given. I do not know what all other companies visited as we were not related to engg students. About half of my class got placed and half of them had planned for higher studies already and did not sit for placements. I went for M.Sc Physics

Fees and Financial Aid

fees was 19,00 during admission and about 6-7k for odd semesters and 3-4K for even sem Library gave some stipend of about Rs. 100-300 / week for working there. Some may find the hostel fees a little bit costly

Campus Life

5

The clubs in the college are brilliant, run by students solely, and are active through out the year in conducting the events. They provide a good leadership opportunity, without any ragging of any sorts,, the seniors in the clubs behave like brothers. Kriya and intrams are college fests. There are about 21 clubs in college and they participate in these events. Intrams is a social fun type of gathering while kriya is a competitive events fest. Department events are also conducted, but only during kriya. Most of the required books are available in the library. computer section of the library is very nice and is available to use up to 8pm Some classrooms have edutech. Almost all classrooms have projectors.

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel - 70,000k / year aprrox. I stayed at my relative's house. Hostels have a library and can be used through the night. Hostel day is a time when there a fest in the hostel with the music club performance.

Other Applied Colleges

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is well structured and relevant to current academic and real world needs,it hepls built astrong foundation knowledge especially in my field geography, the syllabus also supports preparation for competitive exams and higher education. Exams are conducted regularly and difficulties level is moderate, which helps in consistent preparation, however adding more practical assessments instead of only theoretical exams would be beneficial Overall the curriculum is good but it can be improved by including updated topics more hands on learning, and modern teaching methods

Course Curriculum Overview:

The courses are well structured and interesting espcially the social psychology and basic psychology papers. in a semester there are 2 internal exams and they will be at least a month apart from each other. as long as you study your course materials, the exams are pretty easy however otherwise it might be a tough one. the courses are well structured espcially the social and basic psychology. and in some semesters, there will be a reading period where students are encourged to go and read in the Library.. The Curriculum served as a base for Internships and basic understanding but it is required to do masters to get a job in psychology filed
