Remarks
It's an IIT with unique specialization in mining and geological fields, Mining machinery is only thaught here. For research and further studies in these fields, this college have some best faculty members for that. But to get a job, it's not that much beneficial nowadays as most of the PSUs take entrance exam or gate score for hiring.
Course Curriculum Overview
Course is good for research oriented students and will surely have good experience with the experienced faculties, but for job-oriented people, the course is not gonna help them in any sense. With lots of syllabus and classes, you can't explore some other fields easily.
Internships Opportunities
Companies also come to hire interns from the campus. Students can apply for the intern in many off campus companies too. CSE students get maximum internship opportunities in many MNCs like Amazon, Flipkart, Microsoft, etc. However, core students may face lack of opportunities there.
Placement Experience
Over 200 companies visit in the campus for placements. Majority of the students get placed in the campus hiring process. Students also have the opportunity to apply for off campus companies. Students from 7th sem gets eligible for campus placements. 70-80% students get placed in the on campus hiring. I'm also going to do job which I got in the campus after completing the course.
Fee Structure And Facilities
Fee is as usual as other IITs have these days. There are lots of scholarship opportunities for those whose family income is less than 6 lpa. And also, there is reduction of fee for the students with less than 6 lpa and 1 lpa. One can also get loan from the banks for the studies there. I got a job with package of 8 lpa which is average there.
Campus Life
The campus life is quite awesome. We don't have much things in the city as the city is not that much developed, but the campus have everything for us to entertain. And we have clubs for almost every sports and activities. A very big sports complex and student activity centre is there to facilitate students with those.
Hostel Facilities
College provides hostels for all the students. Hostels have all the necessary facilities needed by the students. Clean and hygienic conditions of washrooms and floors can be found there. Hostels also have mess facility inside it. No need for a student to go outside. However, if he/she wants to eat some tasty food inspite of that mess food, they can order it directly at their hostel from food delivery apps.
