Know about IIT ISM DHANBAD

As IIT Dhanbad was established in 1926 for Mining engineering and later on many other courses introduced. Particularly IIT Dhanbad has good global position in mining engineering as well as in earth science related branches.Good infrastructure, study environment and student coordination. So overall performance is good. I have asked many coaching teachers and my relative who studied there. So if your jee advance rank is average than this IIT is good. There is good placement results.

Initially IIT dhanbad was started with Mining engineering ( that's why it also known as Indian school of mines). It has good global position. So Many mining companies come here, hence good placements ( generally more than 90%). Professors are also highly qualified and have good experience they also have field experience. Their teaching method is really good like teaching case studies, projects..etc. Most of the professors have Ph.d degree and field knowledge. This is 4 year B. Tech course which have 8 semesters. In each semester there is mid sem/term and end sem/term + quiz and assignment. Exam paper's difficulty level is average. Question comes from only taught material. And chances of getting fail are less. We can also interact with professors and can do some projects under their guidance. So overall academic life is good.

Internship opportunities are also there..But I didn't get any on campus internship.( Covid may a reason)

7th semester student become eligible for Placements. Placements start from December and further go up to 8th sem. All type of companies come there like IT, management, consultancy and core companies.For example- PWC, kpmg, Tata steel, aaditya birla, Microsoft, paytm, zomato, udan, oyo..etc. Almost 80% students get placed. And particularly in mining 90% students. So good placement results are there. Highest package (of 2021) is 48.30 lakh. And average package is 7-8 lakh.Some students give exams lile gre, gate ,cat ..etc. Some students join MBA course after degree and some students go foreign for MS.

Fee is applied on the basis of categories.We can see the fee structure going through IIT's website. There many opportunities for scholarship. Scholarships are available on baais of categories, course and family income. Like MCM scholarship, NSP scholarship and many more. Many firms and companies also fund for scholarship. As well mess fee also given back in case sc/st categories. Job opportunities are also good. Many companies come there like IT, management, consultancy and core companies. I also got job in a private company which is affiliated to Mining field.Generally mess fee is separate from academic fee. In IIT Dhanbad mess fee 15000 per semester for students.

Campus Life is really very good. There are lots of things to do. Many different types of clubs like art club, dtama club, dance club, sports club, tech club ..etc. As well good facilities for sports, study and entertainment. There also an annual cultural feet called srijan and also tech fest called concetto. Almost every day there is different type of activities held. There also many social groups in which students help nearby poor students via NGOs. Blood donation camp also held time to time as well financial donation also carried out when someone need financial support. So there are lots of activities to do. College is like a family.

Hostel life is also good. Full availability of WiFi and lan cable. RO water facility. Canteens are there. Enough Mess facility for all students. 2000 rupees per semester as room and electricity charges.

JEE Advanced Qualification for B. Tech Course
