Here is the journey from ISM to IIT towards IIT(ISM) Dhanbad.

Pros1)Good placement trend in my choosen Mining Branch.2) Possibility to change branch after a year.3) Senior Junior strong relationship.4)Small Campus with almost all basic facilities for career development.Cons1) Resides in 3rd tier city.2) No flight service.3) Pollution to some extent.

with respect to MINING branch but same goes for many earth science and other branches like PE,AGP,MME,---Curriculum:- Excellently designed and evolved course structure after many years of optimization process.Academic s:- a)75% mandatory attendance.b)Busy schedule ( Mid sem + end sem + quizes)c) Relative grading among students, so tough competition among peers.Faculty:- Expert in there domain,excellent,experienced, many already worked for years in the industry, devoted and ready to help, Involved in multiple research work,Huge and strong network

Due to Covid it is difficult to get as dreamed but did some sort of Internship. Meanwhile focusing on Project work.

Many companies visit for internship and placement. Many too got PPO also. Apart that ISM has legacy in earth science branch including MINING,Applied Geophysics, Mining Machinary, Petroleum etc .Computer science, ECE,MECH are at good position in terms of placement.--Chance to opt for higher studies as may choose after 4th sem for Dual degree in same branch and With MBA. Could opt for Minor in other subjects increasing placement chances. --Many higher education institutions also come.

Scholarship:- a)MCM and freeship scholarship.( <5 lakh) (almost 30-40% of student get this)b)No Tuition fee from ST/SC. + Tribal ministry support.c)ISMANA scholarship. (for 1 student from Mining Branch)d)Piyush Dutta scholarship in final year.Internship:- a)in campus in 3rd year.b)of campus continue from first year onward from Marketing, promotion, technical to research based on skill and interest.Project work:- a) could work under professor under some funded project thus paid.Entrepreneurship:-a) Optimised campus to be entrepenur. Supported by E CELL official club.

Fest:-a)Khanan (biggest geo technical fest in india)b) Srijan (culture fest)c) Basant (alumni networking)d) Annual sports.Club:-Ecell,Chess,Litc,Pehal, kartavya,FFI, chainika,Cyber lab,RoboIsm,Book club,DYS,Artfreaks, Rhythm,LITM, abhya dramatic club,WTC, Foto freaks etc.relationship:-a) Vibrant campus.b) Strong senior junior relationship come from Optimise Ragging (controled by anti ragging protocol),Club work,Project work,place-branch senior.ISM is now IIT so it is as technical as the social and cultural.Meanwhile, RamDhani shop is Excellent reason for student to meet at.

ROOM:-Not that good but Rapid development is going around to make it single single Room for every student because it is two in single room by 2020. Promised to Infrastructure and hostel development work will over soon. Not Installed any AC.Hostel:- jasper,amerald,amber,rosaline etc.Food:- Same as in all other hostel. by the way Ramdaho,Amul, Zomato,swigy services are excellent.Bathroom:- Equipped with Geyser. Big and excellent.Option for changing the room. Registration goes in every year while hostel change with year.
