KERALA. I could score well for the entrance examination, and hence I got selected into this prestigious institution.

Though the entire course is decided by M.G University syllabus, the college had always taken strong initiatives to bring quality teachers at any cost to cast the Engineering attitude with a professional mind along with the ethics in the minds of young RSET students.Also, there is a seperate research room setup in the college.

Yes, for the M.tech students, training is provided with stipend. The students have the freedom to use the lab facility asking prior permission from the respected department HOD's. The students are even encouraged to do so, by the college authorities.

The college had always taken strong initiatives to bring in the best companies to give placement for their students. And for that the college had planned in advance to keep a separate faculty in charge who had strong relationship and or tie-ups with the MNC's. The college also had kept placement representatives in each department to take care of the placement of each student in each department.

The college hosts technical fest and cultural fest, both inter-college level, and for which the planning and schedules are well set in advance without affecting the studies of any student, while bringing in the maximum participation and support from all the students. The college even encourages and supports their students to conduct these events with a provision to think out of the box and challenging.

According to my perspective, the fee structure should have been much higher and it does not match with the quality course provided with extra effort taken from the side of the college administration to provide us international seminars and other events imbibing technical knowledge in us.

The college had taken initiatives to support the students who fall in the top of the merit list with scholarships. Also, the college authorities had always helped students in sanctioning loans for the students who genuinely want to complete their course from RSET.

The campus life is awesome in RSET with a gender ratio of almost 1:2(men:women) in earlier days, but had now been almost 3:4. The campus is surrounded by greenery and backwaters, which brings in a peace of mind and freshness to the fuzzy minds of the students after their studies. The college always hosts yearly inter-college competitions including robo-wars and other technical events, and host extra-curiccular competitions in alternate years.

I could rate the college hostel facilities and mess food to be one of the quality and descent food with descent package. The fees almost comes to about 15000/- per annum, which is less compared to the quality food, the security and other facilities provided.

The alumni network works strong and always conduct yearly gathering. The alumni has always been a strong support for the students who haven't ever go placed in their college days due to back-papers.

Though the university exams come once in a semester, the college often conducts frequent class tests and lab exams for bringing into our notice the weak points well in advance and conduct PTA meeting to report it to our parents, so that we will try our level best to score in the next tests.

By pure merit. I struggled hard in my entrance coaching days to make myself into one of the best professional colleges in cochin. It was worth for me to have spend those hard days to get the best college which I had dreamed about. The admission process was a little lengthy, but it was purely transparent from all sides that, anyone will appreciate that system, since it don't even leave any discrepancy in the minds of others.

The faculties are outstanding in the sense that the college had not kept any faculty for the sake of showing others, but with the sense that the students from RSET should be outstanding once they complete their course from RSET. Almost all the faculties have widespread knowledge, or have hands on experience in the same industry.
